Request on threads/"Help Wanted"

Ok this is a fan site with the mood set by the fans. That means there will be threads loving players, coaches, recruiting, and aspects of the way we play. There will also be those vehemently against those aspects. As long as you guys don't make it individual against another poster or person thread is started about it is fair game. If you know a thread is going to make you mad, do not open and post derailing the purpose of the thread. We have seen many times from both sides this happening and we are going to put a stop to it. There is the warning to both sides.

Good place to put this I guess, we have a need for some new blood contributing on this site. We are looking for some new mods and are also interested in any contributors who would like to write occasional articles. The articles are actually the easy thing, some basic understanding of creative writing and proper use of the English language. We can help on proofreading. Not interested in somebody with a agenda who wants to harp on the same points over and over. You need to be able to contribute regularly, but not massively. A article or two a month is good enough. 

 

New mods will be harder. It can be a time consuming (and thankless) job. You have to moderate based on fairness, not on who you agree with. But the time it takes is the big challenge. If you are interested in being a mod or contributor, send a PM to a mod or admin. DO NOT REPLY HERE!

We are striving to make this place a lot better by doing this. If for some reason you don't get picked, please do not take it personal. I appreciate the culture of this board. I have quit posting on another board because self-proclaimed experts think that they own all the correct views. I had my fill of it this week. I am giving up 10+ years and plan on coming here for rational and respectful discussion of IU basketball, football, and off topic subjects.

 

As the season continues, I invite others to join the chat section on this site for in-game discussions. It has been respectful and I have enjoyed the few that have been regulars the last few weeks.

I definitely could not be a Mod. This is the first time I have been back since the peeuww loss. Have to cool off for a few days after a loss which coincides with when the Mods are needed most. I appreciate the ones that we have and believe that you all do a great job.
