IU vs Minny Post Game Thread

Recommended Posts

Troy, JBJ and RoJo a combined 23-34 from the field (68%) including 13-20 from three point range (65%).  Wow.  Yogi with double digit assists, but dud not get a double double because he only scored 7 - and odd stat line for Yogi, but why not feed the shooters,  If Yogi shoots his normal percentage and the team cuts the turnovers down to a reasonable level, this would have been a 30 point blowout.  Hoosiers had three turnovers in less than three minutes into the game.  Minny likes to play with pace, but you can't do that with this IU team - that plays right into Hooisers' wheelhouse.

I sit in section F row 44 behind the iu bench (season tickets). The opposing teams get seats behind mine for all the games. This is the first game this year anyone had used the seats and the fans were passionate and loud... for a while. Then the 3's started raining down. Towards the end all they could do was bury and their heads. It. Was. Beautiful. And props to the old, bald, guy in front of me who taunted the large man with cornrows about wearing "Pitino panties". Ballsy.

Oh Troy did the pass on a fast break thing again and Johnson knocked down the 3 again!

This has been a part of Troy's game that has developed.  Last year he doesn't even look to make that pass, this year he sees the trailer on his side.  The next step is feeling the trailer from the weak side or directly behind him.

lots of complaints about the officials on multiple platforms from fans of every team...

is it something to be concerned about, or just typical fan being a fan??

Typically the home team has a huge advantage in B1G play, more so than other conferences.  This season it seems like there are a lot of random calls on both home and away.

Tonight the no call on King's jump, step, jump followed by the travel call on RoJo was quite bizarre.  I can understand if a ref is simply out of position because of the speed of the game.  Later in the game when minny hacked for the 1,000,000th time the ball was clearly off the minny player with the ref in the correct position to make the call.  He failed to make the call and felt like he was trying to tighten up the game, again.

The crappy no call on Elleison on Troy too.  Yes, he was straight up but moved his body into a player that was in the air.

The off arm push off on pretty much every Hollins layup attempt.

The charge call where HMP was clearly moving.

Just tip your hat Minny!! Dare we say IU continues to hit stride heading into the conference tournament? So much to say u just can't capture all the good.

Troy with a J is absolutely leathal for the offense, as if it wasn't already elite.

Yogi with a career high in assist I think. What an absolute stud. He is special.

Johnson is fantastic and should never be under the radar. He is just a flat out shooter. The stroke is pure. Almost looks like Watfords mechanics.

Perea altered quite a few shots last night. I think just the presence of a big man is making teams rethink the easy post feed.

Oh and Crean with the play call of his career like a mad scientist. That last full possession he walks onto the floor to tell troy the play (haha) , then pulls yogi over into a corner trap betwixt a minny player and a ref.. we are going to do a pick and pop with Williams to bang this new 3 point record home... ready-break

Continually impressed by this team's ability to grab boards on both ends of the floor.  These kids really do a great job despite being smaller than the competition.

The ball movement this season has been the best in the Crean era.

When Yogi gets in the middle of a defense it opens everything up on the floor.

Really fun to watch.  Let's run the table.  5 more left.
