can confirm...have never seen a pool table in Southern Indiana or Louisville hospital...

but...

have seen a McDonald's in a children's Hospital in said location...

which is a little weird...

Not seen a McDonalds in one either---ou812dude!

Makes sense---I loved all things McDonalds as a kid!

Devin will not play this year and likely will not be back in classrooms semester or next. Brain injuries have little to nothing to do with how he physically looks. These types of injuries take lots of time to recover from.

I agree. He is in a rehab hospital for a reason. If we hear he is released from the hospital, he won't return straight to campus. I doubt he has been able to keep up with his classwork. The earliest I would think he might come back to Btown would be January. Even then it would be quick. I would expect he will have to have a clear CAT scan. Also, I would expect they have done a baseline screening for concussions. They do it for high school athletes. When he is cleared he could begin training.

His type of injury can take a while to heal especially if there was any bleeding in his brain. I would not expect him to return to action for this season. I would expect him to sit on the bench at some point.

I'd love for him to be able to come to the SMU game as a pick-me-up to everyone, but I wonder if noise bothers him? I honestly have no clue how brain injuries work, but I'm wondering if all of the commotion, noise, etc. might keep him from the game.

Make sure you look both ways before crossing the parking lot on your way out big guy!

I'm sorry, that's horrible lol.  Seriously though I wish him the best.

Not a whole lot of thinking went into this one, I presume.

Everyone here, including myself, want nothing but a full recovery from young Mr. Davis.  That being said, can it not at least not be acknowleged that he brought this upon himself? This wasn't an injury he sustained on the court or in practice. He made a stupid, selfish mistake that only hurts himself, but also his team and hoosier nation. He seems like a good kid and I hope he's learn something from all of this but to be fair, if this had happened at UK I doubt anyone would be holding back any punches.

It would be great to have him at a game in AH but with a TBI the lights, noise, etc. might be too much for him. That was a family member's personal experience.

Is the sensitivity always an issue? He is so far ahead of where I feared he would be based on the initial reports. I don't think they were wrong in the seriousness of the injury. He seems to be bouncing back very quickly. It is a good sign that he is being released. I am sure he has limits on what he should do.  If he is feeling well, it will be difficult to keep him quiet. Hopefully he can return to school for the second semester.

Let the classless Purdue and UK fans make those comments. He is still recovering. It MIGHT have been funny if it were a minor injury.

He has paid for the poor decisions he made and then some.
