Walking Boot of Doom Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Am I the only one who doesn't want Morgan? Seems redundant. Doubt he's better than a junior Devin Davis or sophomore E. Holt. This is a good point, but right now it's hard to imagine the talent level of sophomore Holt when I haven't seen him play. Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet. BGleas Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I have no idea what Vandy has. But, Juwan Morgan is not a sure thing to be impactful as a freshmen. This isn't a 5* recruit. If this was Zimmerman or Maker I'd agree that PT isn't a factor, those guys start from day 1. But Morgan, if he comes to IU, will be battling Troy Williams, Devin Davis, Emmitt Holt, and to a lesser extent Hoetzel for minutes at the 4. What if Vandy has a open spot at the 4 in their lineup? The allure to start as a freshmen could be a big factor for him. I don't know, I don't know what his priorities are. But he isn't the type of recruit that can come in and expect time ahead of most of the aforementioned guys. Again, I'm by no means saying it's the only factor, but to dismiss it is not being realistic. Playing time matters to any player. Is PT really something another program can offer that we cannot? We have a need for guys who can compete down low. The way Crean substitutes you know he will get time. I do not understand how PT could be a realistic factor for us. Now had it been two years ago I would see it but we had no postseason play last year. We are considered by many to be a mid to lower team in the BT this year. We have not added any high end bigs yet. Hovadipo Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Has Crean told him "I love you" yet? Happened on the unofficial. It was a tinder goodbye hug with a subtle "I love you" whisper into the ear. Hallmark movie stuff. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners rebelhoosier848891 and LazOffTheBench 2 Quote

Hovadipo Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Sounds silly, but that's kinda true! I'm not too worried. I think Ant Lee, Thompson, and a few others started following Crean and some of our guys before crushing our hopes and dreams recently. Hoosier2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Am I the only one who doesn't want Morgan? Seems redundant. Doubt he's better than a junior Devin Davis or sophomore E. Holt. Nope. Count me in the boat that says no thanks. Now if his friend Shake and a true low post player want to come then I'm all in. Quote
hoosierpap Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 I'd be surprised if he picks Vandy. It's obviously possible but this has felt like IU/UW for way too long and I'm not sure he makes it to the UW visit. rebelhoosier848891, Napleshoosier, BTOWN and 2 others 5 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Unless there's an open starting spot at Vandy---I just don't get Vandy. If we really want him I think he comes. If he is a contingency only--he may not. I trust Crean and Martin's eye for talent on that one and we should be hearing something soon! Quote
bnkepner Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I wouldn't be against him coming per say, but I have just never been too blown away by his or Shake Milton's videos or anything. I think we have our own version of Juwan Morgan in Holt and our own version of Shake in Rob Johnson Quote
Josh Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 here here. Lol. We met a hot chic in Everglades City yesterday and nicknamed her "Bait Girl" Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners I met a girl in Everglades City once, I thought she was the only one. Is that population above 5? (great part of Florida though) As for Morgan, join the Hoosiers! Napleshoosier 1 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Still no news? Something's gotta leak soon! Or not, just like Goodlucks visit, Nairns, Richardson etc etc. Maybe the professional guessers have this one right. No CB updates today, last one still Vandy. His visit ended today, right? Has he already left? I Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Hope you're wrong on this one--WayneHoosier. Although he is not a must-get --I was hoping for news one way or the other on him! Quote

Holt.My thing is after last year he is exactly the type of player we need. Not necessarily him but players like him. Players that will develop over 4 years instead of the constant turnover or players expected to be major contributors as freshmen. That is of course unless we can consistently pull 5 star players at a specific position. Only a couple of teams at this point can truly do that. Hell even Duke takes on 4 year players so they aren't screwed if they miss on a stud. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Dalton26, CR3AMnCR1MS0N, Crimson and Cream and 4 others 7 Quote
