JBJ - How Long?

Recommended Posts

2 years at most.  If turmoil on the team continues throughout the season then I think he goes after 1 year if he gets any kind of positive vibes from the "experts" about his draft status.   If there's no more personnel issues and the season finishes on an upbeat note then I think he stays.  He's from a good solid family and I don't see his family pushing him to turn pro if they don't think he's truly ready for that grind.

JBJ has stated himself that he only plans on 1 year. my source is a very, very, very good one

too bad for us

I believe you that his plan is to be a one-and-done.

Don't know if the NBA will agree with him.

Harris averaged only 12.9 as a freshman and many thought he would leave. If I remember he was projected in the 10 to 15 range.

I think Blackman can eclipse that average this year. The draft may be stronger than the year Harris could have come out but it is not outside the range of possible that Blackman could be 1 and done

While this is a good point, offense isn't the issue... all the scouts are going to care about is how he guards point guards and how he handles success.

I agree but it is within reach. If he can average 16/17 those scouts may overlook that for now. Hard to say yet but it is not too hard to see how it could happen.

If he has a chance of being a lottery pick, I think he is gone.

However, isn't this upcoming class loaded with guards?  I think it will be very difficult for him to be a lottery pick this year.

Ryan Boatright, Harrison, the kid from Duke (forgot his name), etc.

I think 2 years and he will be repeatedly mentioned.
