Just a quick comment before everyone gets carried away and in love with Chris Collins.  This is his 8th year at NW and prior to this season, he only had a winning record in 2 of the previous 7.  His career record at NW is now 115 wins and 120 losses.

Basketball is crazy sport sometimes.  They should be undefeated because they gave the game to Pittsburgh.   Last year most these same kids went through heartbreak after heartbreak with every close loss.  I thought they would be headed down the same path after blowing the Pitt game.   Amazing what some confidence can do

Gonzaga has been able to beat Kansas, Auburn, West Virginia, Iowa and Virginia... And some will still say they wouldn't compete in a P5 conference.

I would say it most seasons.... Not this year, this year they are legit... but most seasons they would be mid to bottom of a decent P5 Conference...

We're pushing two years now since our last appearance. Won't be easy ever getting ranked again, because we play such ugly basketball and no longer get reputation votes.

Last team we had that was worth a damn and played consistent was Yogi's last year.  AM now has a full roster of his own players and we are just as inconsistent as when he first got here. Hunter and Phinny have shown such little improvement since joining. AM has failed to recruit sharp shooters. His teams lack the ability to shoot FT and his recruiting seems to be solely reliant on hitting on an Indiana kid or two...when that fails there seems to be no real options. Its fair to wonder if 9-10 i the conference is around our peak with a ranking between 30-40. That's a bubble team which is what we look like.

Davidson was outside the arc but he was basically doing the splits. Shocked they called that though.
