But Morgan vs Teske isn’t really close if you go year by year of their careers. Rojo started 118 games. He put up decent numbers offensively. Simpson impacts the game in a different way so the comparison is difficult. I prefer Simpsons career because of his impact on the PG position and how good at it he has been for 3 years. But this one is closer. Rojo was the highest rated of the four. Morgan was third. Not a huge difference between 1 and 2, and then 3 and 4. I think the difference is having that smart PG means so much in today’s game. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Simpson has already been second team all B1G and first team all B1G defensive. Teske is well on his way to being first team all B1G this year. Quote
HoosierAloha Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Kind of silly comparison. And I don’t disagree on Simpson. I personally would take him over Rojo. I think where it gets closer is if you look at their overall stats. If Teske does this all year I will definitely agree. Not saying I don’t think he has staying power, it’s just there is some competition and the year is young. Even with his numbers this year stack them up against Morgan. I can see where Mike is coming from there. Michigan is off to a hell of a start. Simpson and Teske are playing a huge role. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Remember Mike Davis did great with Knight's players. Greg Gard did terrific with Bo Ryan's players for a bit and now is starting to tail off. I am not saying Howard is not a great coach and he could be but you won't really know until he gets his own players in there. Deserthoozier, Walking Boot of Doom, IUsafety and 3 others 6 Quote
jk34 Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Having Phil Martelli on the bench would definitely help with Howard's growth as a coach! Quote

The one big difference between those three coaches is that Howard knows what it takes to succeed in the NBA. That’s the ultimate goal for recruits in this day and age Quote

That’s the ultimate goal for recruits in this day and ageHe definitely has a good selling point to recruits and I think that’s what Michigan really wanted. They have this really off want of attention. They liked the on court winning Beilein but they also want the recruiting wins. It’s the look of success more than actually being successful. It’s the same in football. If they win that’s awesome, but if people just talk about Michigan, that’s even better. And they wanted to be big with recruits and Howard just might do that for them.
