I can see why Elijah Malone wasn’t interested in Hatton’s role lol. 16 points and player of the game… not too shabby

I haven’t been in this thread for a couple days so forgive me, but did anyone explain how the heck that guy got to Grace?

Clemson gonna beat Penn State -- up by 6 with no time left.

After PSU misses on its last possession, Clemson has a runout and Hunter goes for the dunk and gets absolutely clobbered at the buzzer. Nits get an intentional foul with no time left.

Kind of a stupid play on both ends. If you're Clemson -- just run out the clock. If you're PSU -- just let the kid go.

So I guess I haven’t watched much UCONN the past few years other than in the tourney. So maybe just didn’t realize this until now. But Hurley might be the most annoying whiner of a coach I’ve ever seen, and that includes Izzo, who I despised when he was young enough to matter and not washed up and hanging onto the program too long purely for his own ego. But goodness. Hurley relentlessly berates refs and gets about as much airtime from the camera as his team. I’m shocked he didn’t get tossed from both games in this Maui tournament. Great success the last two years sure, but he’s not someone I respect after watching him on the sidelines. And the announcers glorifying him because they’ve won titles as a “ferocious competitor” etc. Just looks like a whiny ****** to this observer.

Great coach but he’s a massive ******. I think it’s a persona more than anything but his schtick is getting old. Think it goes without being said, but this year’s version of UConn is nowhere near as good or talented as the last two.

Definitely not as talented but still talented enough to be top 5ish. Honestly, one of the things that impressed me about mcneely was how little they get him the ball and he still contributes. I wouldn’t be surprised if that changes and they start to look for him more.

Tyrese Hunter on Memphis is legit. They’re going to be good this year

They have to be talented because they aren’t going to win any games with coaching. Their offense is painful outside of the individual performances.

He is. And he’s either improved his shooting a bunch from what I recall of him  or he’s on 1 hell of a heater. Side note: MSU’s bigs are a problem. Kohler’s got a chance to help, but Zapala and Booker ain’t stressing anybody.
