Watching this right now and the coaches are going to try to get a change in the recruiting calendar. They are saying if it doesn't change then more and more coaches will leave the profession.

You can watch this on YouTube which is where I watched it. They were talking how with the portal and your normal recruiting period you have little or no down time to spend with your family.  Wes Miller talked about when UC's new football coach saw Miller in the middle of the summer about why Miller was still in the office Miller told him all he has been doing during the summer and the football coach said the next he is headed to the beach. He thought that football coaches always talked about not having the time for themselves but now it is the basketball coaches.

So they have to work hard and all year to make millions of dollars per year? I don't feel sorry for him.

Gotta agree with you there.

Even if he’s only making $200k - how about the people working 6-7 days at jobs physically demanding/exhausting (steel mills, tire factories, etc)? How about single parents that work 2, sometimes 3 jobs just trying to make ends meet?

Listen, he may have a point in that if things don’t change people will leave the profession. So be it - and, if that occurs, market forces will either change the situation or eliminate it.
