BSU's season has me wondering if Lewis is thinking he should have stayed at UCLA. BSU lost an overtime home game earlier this season when the entire bench was screaming to foul at the end of regulation, but no one did, and the opponent hit a 3 at the buzzer to send it to OT. There was another overtime home loss where one of their guards got fouled on a 3, down by 1 in the final seconds and missed all 3 shots. They also had to come from behind to beat Detroit Mercy (who was 0-26 before finally getting a win) and didn't take their first lead until the last two minutes. 

 

Did you notice no one was guarding the inbounder? That's the Knight in him.

WCC making the call to St Mary’s to have a little conference collusion.   St Mary’s has already clinched the 1 seed and are safely in the tourney and the Zags are a bubble team.   Zags up 16 with 1:16 to go in first half.    Wcc wanting those 2 bids for  those units

Worked out for the Big Ten as well -- Iowa in need of a quad 1 gets it at Northwestern today with Northwestern safely in.  Iowa working toward the bubble.

Meanwhile, not good things for ACC bids as Virginia's shellacking moves them down the seed list while Wake Forest's loss might have moved them to the wrong side of the bubble.

Purdue has been that team for me for the last few years but I’ll gladly sacrifice a bracket to see them lose early

They sure look the part. I actually wouldn’t mind seeing Barnes get to one more FF. But he seems to underperform almost every year in the tourney but he still seems like a coach who should’ve made multiple FF’s.

Don’t know how you don’t guard the inbounder and lose a guy at the basket. That’ll keep a coach up at night.
