Sources tell CBS Sports the NCAA Tournament will use these venues to host the 2021 men’s tournament:  Bankers Life Fieldhouse,  Hinkle Fieldhouse,  Indiana Farmers Coliseum,  Mackey Arena,  Assembly Hall,  Lucas Oil (two courts).   Only one game at Lucas Oil at a time.

Hopefully they change it to limited attendance

Can you imagine Tom Crean or Kelvin Sampson leading their teams into Assembly Hall for an NCAA tournament game...yikes

NCAA should consider Menards, Lowe’s or Walmart as a host. All kinds of people could attend then. [emoji16]

Has that ruse worked for Target Center?

Couple of more tidbits from today's announcement by the NCAA.

Quinn Buckner is a co-chair of the Indianapolis Final Four organizing committee.

Jeff Borzello:  In both the official announcement and on this Zoom press conference with NCAA officials, there have been multiple references to 68 teams and 67 games. There's no sign the NCAA wants to reduce the field from 68 teams for this season's NCAA tournament.

NCAA VP Dave Gavitt:    Family members can attend games. Decision on general fan attendance will be made at a later date in concert with local health officials. So nothing firm on fans yet.

One report indicated SSAH and Mackey would be used only for first round games.

I take it we won't be hosting any NIT games, then.

I've been wondering if they would adjust the quads at all to adjust for limited or no fans but I can't find anything saying they have, but it sounds like the door may be open to do so? Have you heard anything about this? I suppose that may be too difficult to account for places where there is partial attendance allowed.

Good news is our schedule is absolutely loaded with opportunity, and only one chance at a bad loss. I hope by seasons end, the Butler win will be at least a Q2 win.

This season is going to be different.  Last I heard those questions would be discussed later in the season but these initials NET rankings are a good starting point.  David Worlock is a really good follow on Twitter for information about the committee. Dave Gavitt as well.

So with indiana hosting the tournament the refs will probably shaft us harder. I predict butler indiana and purdue will all be missing this year's tournament that way nobody gets unfair advantages lol

Our Hoosiers are scheduled to host PUke on the 14th.

From Purdue Men's Basketball -

Tuesday's game between Nebraska and Purdue has been postponed as mutually agreed upon by both teams due to health and safety concerns. The two schools will work with the Big Ten Conference to reschedule the game at a later date.
