Only Bill Walton would say this game is the best a player has looked all season.....said that at 18:30 left in the first half.

I’ve never understood why fans like him and networks hire him. There aren’t enough drugs on the planet to make him tolerable. It’s clear all his colleagues can’t stand him either. Utter nonsense and rambling for two hours

Couple interesting takeaways from the Utah/Kentucky game. Cal scheduled this game in Vegas so his team would be familiar with the arena before they play OSU on Saturday.
Usually when Kentucky plays anybody they probably are the youngest team on the court. Not in this game. Including Walk-ons, Utah has 11 freshman, 4 sophomores, 1 junior and 1 senior.
I haven’t done it yet but it would be interesting to compare the freshman rankings of each team just for fun.

Utah had a good game plan and stuck to it. Gach and Hall had great games for Utah. They were the tougher and more disciplined team for most of the game. They had a few stretches where they had a rash of turnovers and poor defense. Good win for the Utes.

RE: UK's loss (and other big losses this season), last year during the tournament, I had a kind of an epiphany. I felt like there was a major paradigm shift starting to take place in the NCAA. The pendulum is starting to swing the other way a little bit in regards to these huge dominant programs, and this season is kind of proving the theory. I'm not sure what's changed really, it's just the feeling of "this can't last forever" is starting to become true. Not to sound all hippie-dippie, just something in the air.  Maybe I'm totally wrong.
