UK fans really upset with Monk for laughing and joking around on the bench while down 20 to UF.

I noticed that too, that would not sit well with me if one of our guys did that.

That's because he's playing for himself, not the school. He cares about the NBA, not Kentucky. It's just a stepping stone to him

He could coach for another 20 years. He will leave if a good job opens that he wants. It was rumored he showed interest in us a couple years ago but Fred didnt pull the trigger. He may stay at WSU but if a UNC, UCLA, or other bkue blood come calling.....

I can honestly say I never heard that rumor and I track all things IU. When was that? Plus a blue blood is different than Texas and OSU you provided in your initial post. I highly doubt a blue blood goes after him. His best bet is an OSU or Texas you provided. I doubt he leaves. He wanted Texas before. They took the other mid-major darling in Shaka Smart. Not working out so far.

It was after our 2 year disasterous run of off court issues and terrible play on the court. I tried sending you a pm but it says you cant recieve messages.

I was using OSU as an example of a team that has good recruiting capabilities and cohod be open as soon as this year. Friend of mine is a son of a former player there. He seems to think Matta is gone barring a miracle.

Fair enough man. Thanks for the info.

Yep, and a lot UK fans are starting to notice that more and more now.

I follow their boards occasionally, and a growing number of UK fans are starting to get restless with the kids Calipari is bringing in.  They're getting tired of being a stepping stone to the NBA, and if Cal has an early tournament exit this year too, he may start to wear out his welcome.

Wow, could you imagine if all of the B1G schools whose coaches are on the hot seat have new coaches next year?

Indiana
Illinois
Ohio State
Michigan

Michigan is probably the least likely to make a change, but a growing number of their fans think his best days are behind him.  Regardless, the B1G could look a lot different next season.  Fun times.

There's only one where I really want to see a coaching change. [emoji6]

Michigan shouldn't make a change just yet. Belein has his Crean years with recruiting every so often and he can really coach. I would give him next year at least but I can see their frustration. OSU will have a rough time firing Matta but I do think he is done. It has been awhile since he recruited with the best. That event their in with UK, UCLA & UNC hasn't done much recruiting wise either like everyone on here thought it would for us. It is nice to use but Matta has ran outta tricks. Illinois has sucked for years so I see them giving it one more year so they don't lose their class. Us well yeah we need a new coach.

Most of their fans hate his coaching ability. They rival us and Illinois on their disdain.

That's why people should plan some of their vacation time around march. I take 2 weeks vacation in march. The most underrated week in college basketball (championship week) and the best week of college basketball (first week of the tournament).

I just finished school last semester so I plan on taking the week of the first round off

I graduated from Indiana st in 2001 and have used vacation time for championship week and 1st week of the tournament every year. Before that I just didn't go to class. And when I was younger my father made a deal with my mother that if I didn't miss a day a school during the year I could miss class on Thursday and Friday of the 1st weekend. I started that in the 4th grade.

Was Katina and her ladies back in town?

Already undermanned, No. 6 Louisville will be without Deng Adel and Mangok Mathiang for Monday’s game at No. 9 Virginia, after the frontcourt duo was suspended for breaking curfew following Saturday’s win at Boston College.“After we returned to Louisville, I boarded the team bus and told them how proud I was of them, but the most important thing now is to get their rest as we had an early morning practice and had to travel,” said head coach Rick Pitino in a statement. “For some reason, Mangok and Deng chose to break curfew and were out very late. This is an extremely big game for our basketball team and it would be an understatement to say that I am extremely disappointed in both young men. That being said, we will move forward and put forth a great effort with a depleted team.”The Cardinals (19-4), tied for third in the ACC standings with the Cavaliers (17-5) at 7-3, are down to seven scholarship players now. Point guards Quentin Snider (hip flexor) and Tony Hicks (broken bone in hand) are also currently sidelined.

Louisville up 2 at the half at UVA. Slick Rick isn't helping us in using the ol' injury/depleted roster excuse.

Well, the 2nd half isn't helping my theory.

Also weird that Dakich is on the ESPN call for an ACC game and Teddy TV is gesticulating on the court. Its truly basketball without borders.
