HoosierTrav Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 I say we make a push for Holtman as our next coach...can you imagine what he could do with our talent???But can he recruit at a high level to have that chance though? I'm not sold he's capable of being a homerun hire for us. Alford Bailey 1 Quote
HoosierTrav Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Holtman with our facilities and recruiting budget......He seems like the flavor of the month to me. I need to see more sustained success from him. He certainly is a far better tactician than CTC. hsrtxp, Hoosier_roots, Alford Bailey and 1 other 4 Quote

He certainly is a far better tactician than CTC. He has done really well considering what took place before he got there with the strange timing of Brandon Miller leaving which left a lot of things into question and Collier wanted to make sure that there was going to some stability because they were afraid of losing recruits and that players would not leave before Holtmann got in and there some who were recruited by Miller who had left. I'm not sold he's capable of being a homerun hire for us. As an in-game coach I think he's proven to be quite good. As a recruiter, a little early to know for certain, but his 2016 class included Joey Brunk 4-star center out of Southport and Kamar Baldwin (3-star) who's already moved into the starting lineup. His 2017 class ranking is even better. FYI, you won't find any meaningful Butler statistics for Brunk as he's played very little and will likely redshirt. He's missed a lot of time because of his father's health issues. http://butler.247sports.com/Season/2017-Basketball/Commits southsidehoosier 1 Quote

Questions to ponder. I know I would love to see what he could do with our current roster. reconmkd, ALASKA HOOSIER and MikeRoberts 3 Quote
