Miller'sTheMan Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I thought for LSU to beat Kentucky Simmons needed to have a big game..... He hasn't been bad tonight but man his teammates have really stepped up. southsidehoosier 1 Quote

Stuhoo Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 UK destroyed by LSU. OG, Juwan, and TB have more fight in 'em than any of the UK bigs. Napleshoosier and theriverpilot 2 Quote
theriverpilot Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 UK is the 2010s version of the 1980s North Carolina teams. All of that talent every year and underachieve. Quote
Uspshoosier Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 @JonRothstein Vanderbilt looks like the biggest disappointment in college basketball thus far. Dores are now 8-6 overall after tonight's loss at Arkansas. what a difference a month and half makes. At the time it looked like a missed opportunity for our strength of schedule to play Vanderbilt(although the computer numbers still like them). Wake forest is their best win so far. The ups and downs of a college basketball season is fasinating to watch. IUsafety 1 Quote
Kepner Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Its what they do. They always choose a hero. Every year some player is deemed the next Lebron, Jordan, Durant, or Magic Johnson. Sort of unfair to the players because not a lot of them have lived up to that hype, even though some have become great players none the less. They said it about OJ Mayo, Shabazz Muhammed, Andrew Wiggins, and now Simmons Quote

HoosierCoop Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Cal after playing LSU. Music to my ears and heaven to my eyes. 3 losses to mediocre teams to boot! Take heed future recruits...this man is the devil! He sits on a throne of lies. ALASKA HOOSIER, Napleshoosier and southsidehoosier 3 Quote
chitown hoosier Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 UK is where 5 stars go to become average. Where is the player development? Poythress is the same as he was as a freshman. Skal and Briscoe were studs and they've become mediocre. Quote

biteoftheapple Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I loved the Mildcats loss. If Skal does not develop, the front line is going to give them nothing all season. Alex and Lee give nothing offensively. Murray and Ulis are terrific, but I dont think they can carry the load. Quote

They said it about OJ Mayo, Shabazz Muhammed, Andrew Wiggins, and now Simmons I mean Wiggins is pretty freaking special, though he's probably more of a Paul George type player, with better offensive upside and probably worst defense. Also, Simmons is an absolute freak. Dude more than deserves all the hype he is getting, the only player anywhere close to him is Kris Dunn Quote

Skal and Briscoe were studs and they've become mediocre. Or they were overrated coming out of high school. Skal never became mediocre, dude was always mediocre. He never had anything resembling an offensive game, and now he is playing with other front line guys who don't suck. Poythress has dealt with injuries his whole career, injuries stunt development. I'm not even going to get into all the 5 stars that have been great players for UK. But hey, those don't count because of some weird narrative that makes no sense djsalway and jmsgws 2 Quote

rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 UK's recent performances make me feel a little better about playing OSU as I was trying to figure out how they beat UK. Right now--UK is even more inexperienced then O$U! Quote
