rebelhoosier848891 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 No doubting Sampson was a good coach and good motivator---his weakness was his ETHICS. He can win at Houston and he will probably get back to a major D1 school soon. I could see him fitting right in---in the SEC. I am still bitter about what he did when he knew he had already been in trouble and had to walk the line but I am more disappointed with the type of players he recruited. Character counts and despite our recent off the court troubles--- I think we are bringing in higher character kids under Crean. Unfortunately, they are not as tough-minded and that toughness is an area we need to continue to improve upon. We need that refuse to lose mentality! Quote
Uspshoosier Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Monmouth loses to army. That will hurt their chances for an at-large bid if they don't win their tournament Quote
Stuhoo Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Watching Rutgers play UMass-Lowell about 40m hours before their game against us. Rutgers up 11 at the half, but geez, they still look like a bag-o-crap. I'm thinking UMass-Lowell makes a game of it. Naturalhoosier 1 Quote

Looks like Rutgers will cruise to a win, but they are certainly far from impressive. Unless we treat TB like a leper, he should have a big night. Unfortunately, we do have a history of letting teams like Rutgers look like NCAA Final Four contenders. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Actually we torched Rutgers last year. If you had said Nebraska, then I'd have to agree. I've got a bad feeling about that game on Saturday. Quote

HoosierHoops1 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Why do we play at 1:00? I heard it was to "work around" bowl game schedules, but doesn't look like it conflicted with anything B1G related. Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 You almost have to feel pity for John Groce. Not only does he have multiple Illini players out with injuries, today it was learned from a Chicago Tribune reporter that Groce won't identify the player by name but he has a player out with mumps and won't be available for the Illinois - Michigan game. Uspshoosier Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Smu wins again. I feel bad for Moore because they would be a tournament team. That has got to sting being a senior and knowing you should be dancing but the NCAA penalizes the kids for what their coach did. Shake had another solid game.
