Just a random thought. When I was in High School our Seniors chose 1 style of shoes for the entire team to wear. We looked like a team out there wearing the same shoes same socks. If anyone is watching this SU/Gtown game look at the 5 players on the floor for Syracuse. Five different pairs and possibly 5 different colors of shoes. Hell one guys is wearing pink I think? I know that kids nowadays like the swag and gear but to me this looks selfish. Just goes to show why JB was cited for lack of institutional control. He can't even get his players to wear the right color shoe how is he suppose to get them to follow actual rules?

I don't think shoe color has anything to do with lack of instutional control nor do I think any coach really cares about his players shoes.

I don't think that specific action should equate to charges. That would be crazy. I am saying I could see how a coach that doesn't care about details like this could get to the point where he doesn't have control over his team in other areas as well.

I am also a Manager of Union employees. So I am very used to having to control details how ever small they be. Sometimes if you give a person an inch they want to take a mile.

Zona must lack discipline and control. Many shoe styles on their players.

We get it.  You disagree with him.  There's much better ways to express your opinion than piling on like this.

I don't agree that players wearing different shoes equates to lack of institutional control.  I do see the point, with some teams, needing to break them down to the very core of what a team is and making them wear the same shoes.  That can also lead to better team cohesion.  I've seen some very odd practices that have united groups.

Appreciate Aloha taking up for me. I have thick skin though. He has the right to his opinion, we just disagree.

Maybe Brad Stevens will let our players wear Pink and Yellow tie dyed shoes if he gets the job? Boosters will love that.

Just like to see this place return to a forum where all opinions are welcome and not antagonize others.

Did you see where Wojo had his players were basic gym shorts and white t-shirts for practice after getting blown out by Iowa?  It seemed to work really well and they rebounded with a solid win over LSU.

A cream/crimson tie dyed helmet might be the next big thing for IUFB!
