HoosiersLoveBanners Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Purdue's size is killing Illinois. Honestly, I'm not looking forward to playing Purdue either time. I slightly disagree.. I think we matchup much better at every position except the 5. It will still be tough to pull out a win in WL but I like our matchup overall. AJH and IH will get theirs but we will run them up and down pretty well, IMO. Trade 2s for 3s and we will be fine Hutch89 1 Quote

Obviously they aren't quite up to par size wise against Haas and Hammons, but they go through that essentially every match-up and have done pretty well for the most part imo. Would love to have Mosquera-Perea for this match-up, but I think our guards can have a lot of success against Purdue, and I don't think Haas and Hammons are good enough yet to beat us on their own. bnkepner and HoosiersLoveBanners 2 Quote

Haas picks up dumb fouls rather often. If the game is called like it was at the other assembly hall he will be on the bench for most of the game. HoosiersLoveBanners and bnkepner 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Think we could use him?? @ESPNStatsInfo: Baylor's Rico Gathers grabbed a school-record 28 rebounds. He's the 1st player with a 28-rebound game since La Tech's Paul Millsap in 2006 Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 LOL. Purdue calls a timeout right as the shot clock hits zero…for Illinois. Quote

rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Drilling down----Purdue 's inside game was not that amazing-----Hammonds with 8 points and 7 rebounds and Haas with 2 points and 2 rebounds. Illinois was better inside---Egwu with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Black with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Black had an outstanding game for the Illini. I personally don't find Purdue's interior that dominating---Haas is huge but his stats are just average--Holt is better. And Hammonds----is just Hammonds---plays when he wants to..... Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Octeus was a good pickup for Purdue----he and Davis had 14 points. Hill had 18 points for Illinois and Nunn had 14 points. We can run Purdue's big men off the court and outshoot Purdue------it will be a tough game but it is winnable. Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Final----Butler 64----Creighton 61. Butler improves to 14-6 and 4-3 in Big East----a good win for our resume'. Jones continues to play well----18 points and 10 rebounds. Blast form the past-----Austin Etherington with 0 points and 2 rebounds. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

southsidehoosier Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Haas looks so slow in the open court if we can push the ball in transition there's no way possible he makes it to even the midcourt by the time IU scores. Quote
