Mara, Morez and Cadeau power conference contributors didn’t come cheap. 5 star McKenny Then still need paid, N. Burnett (former 5 star), Gayle, Tschetter. Big money on top 8. Maybe they didn’t outspend us by a ton. But the rosters were always a mismatch and we likely overspent. my guess is we spent 10-11. I think they spent more. Stuhoo 1 Quote

Big money became rich by not putting a match to money. Big boosters want proof that it’s money well spent. Devries needs to prove his leadership is worth the investment, primarily because a big money booster now has the option to instead give more and more to the sure fire great investment that is IU Football. Jeff Flabjohns Posted Wednesday at 03:24 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:24 AM Still a ton of ball to be played but did a single result go our way tonight? Seems like every team in the projected 8 seed down to bubble strengthened their resume. ACC is a lock to get 8 bids with the chance for one more. OSU about to take down Wisconsin. UGA and Iowa each leading right now as well looking for big wins. Quote

That number seems to be about $10M. What I’m saying is if he wants more he’s got to convince people. Not exactly easy, but it can be done, and if he can, our roster budget could increase pretty quickly. And I know Scott does all he can to help. We’ll just have to see what happens. I’m a bit worried, but I just have to hope CDD figures it out. Quote

TCU lost and they are a bubble team, Virginia tech lost and will stay on the wrong side of the bubble, ucla lost so they don’t get a road win. Kansas st is winning against Baylor for now which would improve their NET which will improves IU’s numbers. Every night is going to have results that benefit and results that hurt. IU is in good position as long as they take care of business at home like they should Quote

TCU is interesting. Have a clear path to 19+ wins and wins over Iowa State, Florida, Wisconsin. 5-7 in Quad 1. Crazy how the Q4 loss to start the year is dragging down their metrics Quote

KSU being 100 in the NET beating a team 46 in the NET will bump their numbers up and if they get to 75 then that KSU win becomes a Q2 win. Quote

He was basically a 5 star who didn’t play like one. 9pts 6assists leading UNC a team who shouldn’t have made the tourney. And he led the ACC in turnovers on below avg shooting splits. Basically UNC was pushing him out and definitely cutting his money. Dusty saw him as a reclamation project and has largely succeeded. Mara is another one. Clashed with Cronin, had sporadic minutes and didn’t even play a ton. Now he’s putting up 23mpg for UM. His per 40 numbers are damn near identical, but Dusty is managing to get consistent production out of him. Those guys weren’t commanding huge money. UM just did a good job of getting high major reclamation projects to go along with their one or two high profile frosh and transfers. Stuhoo 1 Quote
