KingPG21 Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Another year, another 76ers early playoff loss. I’ll never forget the guy that was preplanning their championship celebrations. Lol Quote

Once Tatum boomed them in the 4th of game 6, felt like they were crushed. Quote

Game 7 they quit once they got up 9 in the 2nd and that flagrant was called. Harden never looked like he wanted to be there. BtownStrength 1 Quote

LIHoosier Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 #1 pick to San Antonio was cinched when they showed Wembanyama using a single use camera to take a selfie with his parents. HoosierHoopster and thebigweave 1 1 Quote

NBA was going to give it to San Antonio for Pop. Gotta give him something to coach in his last years. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Seems newsworthy. Wonder if there's some (ahem) issues in the Houston program. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Stuhoo Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Say it with me: ”Right now the best basketball player on the planet is Jimmy Butler.” There. That wasn’t so hard. And it’s true. BtownStrength 1 Quote
HoosierHoopster Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Wenbanyama to the Spurs is like the circle is completed. Pop landed Duncan (to go with Robinson, the Twin Towers), started out on a legit dynasty, he's hands down one of the best coaches the NBA has ever had, and now he has Victor W, and I'd bet on his NOT retiring soon. Wenbanyama's favorite player? Tony Parker. Watching him do a little fist pump when the Rockets were called, so he knew he wasn't going to the Rockets - priceless. Cycle repeats, Spurs will be dominant soon again. 8 foot wingspan, lol. Quote

Stuhoo Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Grant Williams hit a three with the Celtics ahead and started jawing at Jimmy Butler. Worst idea ever. Fat, shitty Grant hits a three and trash talks the best basketball player on the planet? Annnnnd… the best player on the planet responds with an 18-4 fourth quarter run for the win. And Spoelstra-Mazzulla might be an all-time coaching mismatch. I don’t know what Mazzulla’s doing. They’re auto-switching everything. They refuse to run a double at him. He’s letting Butler create literally any matchup he wants anywhere on the floor he wants it without Miami having to set up anything. It’s coaching malpractice. Meanwhile, Spoelstra runs a double at Tatum off of Smart every time he touches it. He’s not letting option #1 beat him. I swear to God. Stuhoo 1 Quote

And Robert Williams playing only 23 minutes while Horford plays 29 is absolute coaching malpractice. Five years ago? Sure. But 36 year old Al Horford doesn’t impact the game at all. lillurk and Demo 2 Quote

And now that makes sense after he got spanked for mouthing off to his daddy after hitting one three. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Stuhoo 1 Quote

Five years ago? Sure. But 36 year old Al Horford doesn’t impact the game at all. Because the Celtics only strategy in games is to shoot 40+ 3s. After game one the coaches idea to winning the game wasn't "we gave 124, maybe we should play some defense and not give up 46 in a quarter." It was "we need to hit more shots." Quote
