WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 So what's his deal this year? I thought he was ready to take the next step up but it looks like he's taken a step back.injuries and roster management seems to have slowed progress and role. FloridaHoosierGirl 1 Quote
Crimson and Cream Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 injuries and roster management seems to have slowed progress and role. I know I've probably already said it 4 or 5 times at different points throughout this thread but man I'd love for the Pacers to make a move for him. pappy1865 and colonel06 2 Quote
KB0 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I know I've probably already said it 4 or 5 times at different points throughout this thread but man I'd love for the Pacers to make a move for him. I love Oladipo, but the Pacers already have two (three if you count Stuckey) players who need the ball in their hands to score. Oladipo is in that same mold and still can't shoot well enough to help spread the floor. Unless you moved Stuckey and something else for him it wouldn't really benefit the Pacers much, but Oladipo's young and the Magic would probably ask for a lot in return. FloridaHoosierGirl 1 Quote

He's young and was the number two draft pick and has become the face of the franchise. They would ask a lot to trade him. He is inconsistent offensively, but always gives his all in other areas of the game. Quote

FloridaHoosierGirl Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Victor got in early foul trouble, but Skiles still ended up playing him 36 mins. Popular Post FloridaHoosierGirl Posted February 7, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 7, 2016 Went to the game today. Magic had a 1:00 start against the Hawks. Beat them 96-94. Victor had probably the best all around game that he can physically have. His defense was outstanding and they kept moving him to whoever was hot and he would shut them down. He played 44 mins. ( which is too much! ) 19 PTS 9-13 ( 0 FTs ) 5 REBS 3 AST 1 ST. 3 TO When he played big, it made a difference, but his TOs did not change the game. 1 BL They won on a last second shot and Victor was HAPPY! Alford Bailey Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I never liked Skiles and that goes clear back to his high school career. I can see him stalling Vics growth. FloridaHoosierGirl, ccgeneral and Defenserocks28 3 Quote
FloridaHoosierGirl Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Magic beat the Hawks again tonight on a back to back in overtime 117-110. Victor did not have a good shooting night and in the second half got smacked in the head by Horford and hit the floor hard. He went to the locker room, but returned to the game. 30 mins. 9PTS 3-12 2-4 FT 4 REB 8 AST 2 TO IUsafety 1 Quote

BGleas Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 It is weird, maybe Atlanta figures Schroeder is ready (probably financial pluses to shedding Teague too if structured right), and then they add a young, defensive guard to replace an aging Sefolosha. But what exactly does Orlando think they're doing. I'm lower on Vic in the NBA than most here. But they already have a guy who is as close to a pure point as the NBA has right now. Plus Vic is their best defender. Don't get Orlando doing this at all Crimson and Cream and djsalway 2 Quote
BGleas Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 I don't either. I guess they feel it's a bit of splash to get a 2-time all-star point guard. I agree with you on Vic. He's a good player, but on a really good NBA team he's a good role player. But what exactly does Orlando think they're doing. I'm lower on Vic in the NBA than most here. He's a good player, but on a really good NBA team he's a good role player. Just out of curiosity, why do you think that? I honestly haven't seen many of his games, so I'm not sure how his game has been translating; but Vic is young, working on his shooting, a good defender, etc. Why couldn't he be a top 3 player on a contending team? I know you know your stuff, so am just curious on your evaluation on him. Same question for KingPG21? Why aren't you as high on Vic? Quote

I prefer to blame it on Skiles not putting in the right players at the right time. Quote
