IUsafety Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 99% opinions, not assumptions masked as facts. There is a big difference. Had you phrased it as an opinion, nobody would have a problem with it but you stated it as a fact like you spoke to him or it was published somewhere. In my opinion, this has never been substantiated and just something rainbow pumpers have made up to rationalize our lack of effort/interest and inability to land a top Indiana kid. And yes, I am aware that he was very interested in MSU who always has quality guards and committed to UCLA who has a lot of quality guards and both sweet sixteen quality teams. If he was only interested in being THE man then why were these two teams in his top 3? It's like saying a kid picked his school because he wanted to play for a nike school but he had 2 Adidas schools in his top 3 and making the claim about nike only after he commits to the one Nike school. Btw, Xavier is no slouch and has been a pretty tough team over the last decade plus. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners This article from Yahoo Sports quotes Bluiett's reason for leaving was because it was too far from home. The article goes on to speculate that possible competition for playing time may have been a factor. Not that there is anything wrong with wanting to play. IMO, he likes to put the ball through the hoop and Xavier was the place he felt like he would be able to do that.http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaab-the-dagger/highly-touted-trevon-bluiett-decommits-ucla-reopens-recruitment-223053677--ncaab.html Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners LazOffTheBench, Kepner and MikeRoberts 3 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Blackmon is a team guy. Lyles, Lyle, and Blueitt are not. Crean got the right kid.Lyles is a team player actually. But he and his dad have delusions of grandeur. Really wish it would have worked with him but his dad is a nut. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners LazOffTheBench and MemphisHoosier 2 Quote
LazOffTheBench Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Lyles seems to be an okay kid. The problem was his dad. With Bluiett I have heard conflicting reports. Either he wanted to be close to home or he wanted guaranteed PT. Maybe both. I doubt we will ever know the full story there but he also seems to be a good guy. 2014 was a strange class for Indiana recruits. No doubt about that. If anything anyone said was a fact, they would probably be working as an analyst. you don't agree with my OPINION of Bluiett, I got that after the first time you made it known. Thank you. hahah Quote

You just made an assumption and then used the assumption to bash a certain group of posters. Hahaha Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
KingPG21 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 you didn't answer the question and continued to make assumptions. Sometimes people just want to make assumptions to fit their agenda. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Dude, you've posted some really negative things about Noah here and passed them off as facts, or at least that is how it comes off. WayneFleekHoosier Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 SO, is he back on IU's radar for 2015? I know everyone wants to avoid him but I wonder what the staff thinks? My personal decision would be to avoid at all costs, just curious. ND Kendrick has vouched for him over and over. rebelhoosier848891 1 Quote

rebelhoosier848891 Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I see Lyle and Kasongo in a lot the same light. They are both kids who were catered to and told how great they were and they both are now having to eat some humble pie. The question is how will they respond from their disappointing circumstances? Will they be bitter or use it as a chance to grow up and get hungry? I don't know what IU ends up doing---but I do know IU is keeping in contact with both. They are talented----I vote no to both right now---but we shall see! 8bucks and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote
