Who Will Be IU's Next Commitment

Jerry Meyer is in a twitter exchange about Morgan. Not sure how to break it down, but Vand isn't a lock yet based on his responses. IMO

It didn't make me feel great about him. I took away, "everyone has him locked to Vandy, but he's checking IU just to make sure." We obviously could blow him away, but his mind seems mostly made up. Hope I'm wrong.

I think we're splitting hairs on the b-school rankings a bit. Kelley might be ranked a little higher (and I have a Kelley degree so I'm certainly biased), but in terms of overall reputation Vandy has a better rep than IU, and that may come into play too. Or the fact that Vandy is a lot smaller and he most likely wouldn't have any huge lectures to sit through could come into play. It could be one of a hundred things academically that he's considering.

See, I feel as though this is a follow the leader situation. Jerry Meyer made the first Vandy prediction and a handful of others followed. They are also a group that flips often. I think they're playing the game. Normally, JM would say something about a new development and how it's causing him to flip his pick. I'm really betting hard against the trend right now lol.

I think everyone is right to be skeptical and I don't have any clue as to what all the insiders know. [Today we picked up another IU CB pick for Shake FWIW]. I'm glad Juwan is on his way though, and at this point I'll just be happy with that.

Crean has literally landed nearly every top Indiana kid worth a damn except for Harris. Zeller, Ferrell, Blackmon alone... isn't that what you people wanted all those years ago when IU missed Conley, etc.? I guess when Crean does it he's doing it wrong. It's not "the IU way."

Well not completely true. You have Teague, Dawson, Lyle, Blueitt, McGary, GR3, and Lyles. Not saying I want all of them but we missed on more than Harris.

One thing I remember him getting right too early was Rob Johnson's commitment. He was one of the only ones saying IU for Rob. I give him credit on that one.
