Who Will Be IU's Next Commitment

Recommended Posts

Bluiett is going to have a DSR type career or better. He is very, very good. Would have loved to have him but it wasn't meant to be :(

Who knows what would've happened if we'd have actually tried to get him after he decommitted from UCLA.  From what I've been told we really didn't even make an effort.

DSR? I'm completely scatter brained right now and I'll probably feel like an idiot after you reply.

So let's break it down:
Vanderbilt, #25 ranked business school, unknown basketball.
Indiana, #8 ranked business school, historic blue blood program with 5 national championships and arguable the best fans and most historic facilities.
Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet.

Just laughable how you mention historic blue blood program with 5 national championships when its convenient but want to blow it off when rating where our current state of program is and what expectations are at Indiana. Can't have it both ways. You want to tout the championships then you better expect them instead of we are not what we were and its not the 1980's anymore. So what is it? Are we not Indiana with the champioinships or are we the Indiana with a coach in year 7 xpected to finish 10 in the Big 10 coming off a year of no tournament. If its the latter, don't embarrass yourself and get back in the gold and black. You can then celebrate your championship Helms trophy lol.

Wait, we can't appreciate the past and acknowledge where we are as a program today?

Only if you can admit where we actually are today. Its easy to mention the banners and accomplishments when trying to land a recruit instead of mentioning those to compare to our current head coaches track record. By mentioning both together you state the obvious. That he comes up short only if the past does actually matter to you as a fan, alumni or recruit.

Interesting, coach Stallings has really been getting it done down there at Vandy.

Who and where? I'm not following. I thought we were discussing Hoosier basketball. Comparing us to an SEC team is a big part of the problem imo unless its to the Wildcats.

Or Florida...

We are discussing Hoosier basketball and, in this particular thread, who we thought would be the next commit.  Supposedly, we are in a battle with Vandy for a recruit.  Well I guess we should never be in a battle with Vandy for anything, especially a recruit.  We should only be in recruiting battles with other blue bloods.  Good point

I can't actually argue with you because this statement completely lacks logic. We are Indiana with the 5 championships from back in the day AND we are Indiana with the head coach in his 7th year with two Sweet Sixteens coming off an awful year. Nothing you have said has made any sense.

Overall, we have a much more historic program with arguably the best fans. I don't think Vandy comes close in terms of program strength.
