Hoosiers drop a 3-2 game to Clemson.  Sophie Kleiman started and went 4 innings and gave up all 3 Clemson runs.  Copeland finished up and scattered 4 hits and walked 1.  Hoosiers had 7 hits but couldn't put them together.  Bassett a solo HR  in the 1st and Mitchell an RBI single in the 4th was all our scoring.  Bassett and Minnick each with 2 hits.

11-3 win for the Hoosiers over Army in a mercy rule shortened 5 innings.  We spotted Army 2 first inning runs and then it was all IU from there highlighted by a 7-run 4th inning.  We banged out 12 hits with Stone, Parker and Benson hitting 2 each.  Minnick, Stone, Parker & Thompson each with 2 RBI.  Heather Johnson started and went 4 innings and was charged with all 3 of Army's runs.  Montgomery pitched the 5th and final inning.

Kansas at 7:00.

Either I misread the schedule and if so I apologize or they changed the schedule after it was posted.  Our scheduled 7:00 game vs. Kansas is already over and we won 2-1.  Brooke Benson with the game winning solo HR in the top of the 7th.  We trailed 1-0 after 4 and tied it up on a Minnick ground out in the 5th.  5 hits in this game; Mitchell our only batter with 2.  Copeland went the distance allowing 1 run on 4 hits.  She walked 4 and struck out 8.

Per the schedule, we play North Carolina Central at 10:00 am tomorrow morning.

Great way to start off the season going 4-1 in Florida.  Next weekend, women will be in Troy, AL for a 5-game series at the Troy Invitational.    Today was a 4-0 win over NC Central.  Hoosiers had 9 hits;  Minnick, Parker & VanBrandt each with 2.  Kleiman started and pitched 5-innings of 2-hit ball.  She didn't walk a batter and struck out 8.  Montgomery took over and finished the game allowing  just 1 hit.
