When you can't have former players and even ones that have coached with you at their alma mater get behind you, what do you have? Example 1 is the absolute lying by former UNC players and their sham courses trying to deflect blame from Coca Cola Roy. At IU you have a former B1G all time leading scorer leaving the staff and a top five lottery pick saying he could have done more and allegedly steering players away from the program. We are coming to a climatic end folks. Alford Bailey, MikeRoberts and LazOffTheBench 3 Quote
TheStillman Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 This thread has officially gone off the rails with these past few posts. Let's keep in mind the conclusion you guys made tonight is that Crean is a lame duck coach because of some Facebook posts made by AJ Guyton after he found out he will be inducted into IU Hall of Fame while Crean is coach. It truly is amazing the way some people construe things to push forward their opinion. People do realize Calbert took a different and better job at SLU than was available at IU right? TheStillman Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Also a congrats is in order to bball4iu. He has officially fooled many on here to take his opinions as fact and can now post things to make it seem like every former IU player hates Crean. You did it man!! Way to go!! Number 1 insider!! bronkonagurski Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I remember watch this game and Clark Kellogg saying "Shoot the ball big fella" on that last shot. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners I was at that game. I was sitting at the opposite end of the court almost directly under the 1987 NCAA Champions banner. It was a very exciting finish. I still was scared after AJ hit his shot because Temple pushed the ball back up the court rather quickly. Quote

Thought I recall Crean saying Cal decided against it because he did not think he was ready or something. Then the next year he takes a job the same job he turned down here. Yeah he knows Crews but he knows IU and this area better and moving a family to a new area is not as easy as staying. I have no idea if there are issues but it is not hard to make assumptions about why Cal chose not to be an asst here but shortly after he chose to be an asst elsewhere.
