Nellie Fox struck out 216 times over 19 major league seasons from 1947 to 1965, a span of 10,351 plate appearances.

Joey Gallo struck out 213 times last year.

Dude struck out less once a month or so if you average it out for the entire year and not just the season. That’s insane.

Vin Scully passed away tonight. 

RIP to a true baseball legend who never had an at-bat and never threw a pitch. 

Jeez -- Bill Russell on Sunday and now this. The sports world lost two legends and true gentlemen in the past three days.

Pujols has done it. Hitting 700.  A mark that was unthinkable until he left the angels. Fitting that it happened at the dodgers if not in St. Louis

Hoskins just hit another bomb, not long after Schwarber -- ahem --- stole second. (Was initially ruled out, but obviously was safe -- call  was overturned). 

When Hoskins unloaded, the Padres left fielder didn't move an inch.

I've always wondered about that: If an outfielder doesn't even turn around on a blast like that, isn't he sorta showing up his pitcher?

So I watched some MLB for the first time since Barry Bonds played... Watched the last 3 innings of the Phillies game. Awesome to see Schwarber have this much fun.
