It really is amazing what Cal does there, short of massive bribes I can't figure out how he sells these guys on the program. I mean, they are NBA bound wherever they go and they give up PT and some exposure to sit the bench for him. How the heck?

Me, Naples, Scohutch, Stuhoo, and i think Aloha started some Psychological operations a few months ago. (refer to #333) We falsified some information so the main stream media types would hop on the Thon to IU bandwagon and it snowballed from there. *actually, we had nothing to do with it, just having fun* However, I have had this gut feeling since last year that he was coming here. I really, really, really, really believe that he would take us to the FF if he and TB were on the team with our current backcourt. Can you imagine? Anyways, I'm still petitioning to be the Thon Maker fanclub president if he chooses IU over those other losers.

I agree. Do you know of something specifically shady that we're doing here? I assume you do if you're worried about Crean but not about Self, K, Sean Miller, Izzo or everybody else who's in on him. Or is anyone willing to take this kid desparate by definition?

 

Trust me there is plenty of shadiness in every program.  Mike Davis's runner-up team practically lived at my best friend's house and my friends mom would have a stash of target gift cards to hand the players. There isn't a single squeaky clean blue blood program.

 

Take Duke and Coach K. Corey Maggette (sp?) had a lot of shady dealings. Lance Thomas owed something like $200k from stolen jewelry or something.

Article on sporting news has IU as front runners for both Bryant & Maker it ends the write up on Bryant - As of now it seems as though Crean may have one of the best freshman frontcourt duos in the country next year.

I love the idea but it seems like an all or nothing scenario in regards to a final four. If we accomplish that then it was worth it, if not, we flamed out and will have like 7 guys exit the program.

And we will get a new coach. It is an all or nothing year no matter what for Crean. Let him get as much talent as he can and roll the dice. It's put up or shut up time.

I would love to see Thon and Bryant in candy stripes next season.
