It took me until the spring to decide where I was going to college, and I wasn't even offered a spot on the basketball team...

I went to play college baseball and it took me until late spring/early summer (after graduation) to figure out where I was going

It’s speculated Arch was asked to start re-recruiting Trendon so this probably led to speculation he could be ours. An analogy is singles(recruits) expecting to be intimate(committing) without dating(being recruited) when they already know who their gonna sleep with. Probably Memphis in this scenario. Of course that’s before prostitution is considered.

Memphis wasn't in the picture when they asked Archie to start recruiting him. Penny (and by connection, Mike Miller) hadn't been hired yet.

I was told on Tuesday don't worry about recruiting. Interest in Indiana has never been higher from high school students. The staff thinks we will get someone better than Carton in his place.

Carton certainly isn't head and shoulders above everyone else, but that's a pretty bold statement and it only piques my curiosity even higher.  Ah, the smell of recruiting in the morning!.

It's a big board that hangs in Archie's office. I got to see it last year. It had Romeo's name at the top and a quote beside it saying something like We will get Romeo

IU and IUPUI with intent to transfer ASAP for me. Got into IU luckily.

That’s good news. Thats the vibe I get too Chris. If not better, than similar at least. I’m not sure who is a better PG prospect than Carton besides Anthony.

Same. All done before September of my senior year of high school I believe.

Personal anecdotes, especially from non-athletes, really don't do much to support or refute anyone's opinion of how long it should take these recruits to commit.

Basketball and specifically the 1ndone era has seriously affected recruiting in so many ways.

Kids expecting to be one and dones don’t operate like the others, usually.
