Hoover may be able to make a lot of throws that Wilson can't, but I do wonder if the offense would be more productive with Wilson running it. We can't blow short field opportunities like we have in the first half and struggle to stay on the field long enough to give the defense a break. Crazy on the surface to want to see the back up when Hoover has 18 TDs and no INTs this year but watching games it feels like a different story since Big Ten play started.

Right now Hoover seems flat out inaccurate. Whether he is too fixated on not throwing INTs or has the yips or whatever you want to call it, I don't know how the staff fixes that at this point. If he is hurt but not "injured" he should sit until he is healthy. Goes without saying the staff knows best, and I get he is not Mendoza in any way and that's okay, but he's been frustrating to watch recently. Hoping QB play gets straightened out at some point, although it's not the only issue with the offense by any stretch of the imagination.

Defense has no margin for error with the current offense.

Can someone explain to me why it looks like UM has safety help over their corners on the outside against both Marsh and Becker and yet IU has run nothing at all in the middle of the field? Am I not understanding what’s happening?

I've lost a lot of confidence in Shanahan this year. Last year was just Mendoaz being special
