Actually a pretty interesting question. Obviously UConn can’t leave because a better conference isn’t taking their football team, but outside of UConn, St John’s, Villanova, Marquette and maybe Providence who else in the Big East has a chance to be sustainably competitive at a national level?

Good news for Jakai? He did that while starting for UMass Lowell. Less good? It was against a team that is below average in D3  -- Rivier College.

Kanaan and Harris, on the other hand, put up those strong numbers for FAU against D1 Long Island U in a relatively close game.

And what the hell happened to Kaleb Banks? He was showing signs of being a good D1 player a year or two ago. Last night he was the third big off of the bench for Tulsa.

Malik and Dorn with a tough night against Florida's bigs.

Cupps solid as the team quarterback for UIC against a D3 team.

Bailey and Drake with minimal minutes for St John's and Temple. Drake's scoring looks like it was in garbage time during a blowout. The score of the Temple game is deceptive - they were up 20 at the half.

Color me shocked....Reed Bailey plays for St. Johns??? He does not seem to fit the mold of a pitino player...but maybe I am wrong lol

Watching the zags game I couldn't help but focus on Fogle. I compared Karvala a lot to him. Karvala is a better athlete, but if he makes the same strides, I'm pretty high on him and Manhertz as a wing combination next year.
