Dave from Dayton Posted July 25 Posted July 25 I'm gone. Celtic Festival in downtown Dayton. 3 stages and dancers, bands, and beers! Erin go bragh! Sure hope that IU prevails today. Wait! Brazilian beach volleyball...women's?! Ipanema? str8baller 1 Quote
LIHoosier Posted July 25 Posted July 25 'Sam Alexis don't give it like that...mmph!' I assume that's what the Spanish announcer just yelled. IUHoosierJoe, hoosierdogg and Stuhoo 3 Quote
str8baller Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Just flipped the feed on and it’s another 50pt blowout. I think this tournament was a smart way to back door in summer practice for a new team and a free vacation for the coaches’ wives. If the agentina and brazil teams suck this bad, there’s little point in the games. Side note—if theybrought Alexis back for this, they must be trying to get him for a 5th year which would be great (obviously). JF87 and hoosierdogg 2 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 25 Author Posted July 25 I get it that the level of competition is definitely weak, but our team was sent to these games to represent the U.S. and it wasn't us that scheduled the games and determined who we were going to play. Home Jersey Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Nice to have had the bonding experience of the foreign trip and more importantly a summer full of practices. Glad IU has scheduled scrimmages with Western Kentucky, Butler, and UNC to really ramp things up as the season approaches. Pagoda, Dave from Dayton, RoderickJaynes and 1 other 3 1 Quote
Stuhoo Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Karvala getting all Troy Williams-lob finish-ey in garbage time. Winker and Stephens both dinged? Not seeing them in garbage time. Quote

This is a bonding experience but I think it is pretty clear that the competition level isn't even close to D1. Home Jersey 1 Quote
