Petersburg games are on NFHS if I  recall correctly. Not that watching NBA playoff games isn’t super fun these days, but I’ll probably hunt a couple of the kid’s games tonight.

Well, ok then. Other than going to the same HS as Latrell Allmond I know nothing at all about this kid.

Has Rabby confirmed the visit or said when he will be at IU?

Watching my 3rd game of Givens right now. Will probably scribble some thoughts tomorrow but 1 thing leapt out immediately, he’s not 6’9”. He played last year with Latrell Allmond, who measured 6’8” at the Adidas Eurocamp last summer, and Givens has at least 2 and maybe even 3 inches on him. So he’s 6’10, 6’11”, anyway. And he can really move and change direction.

From what little I’ve seen of him. Wouldn’t call him a big. It looks more like a 3

Found this video.  Shows a thin Givan making jump shots with quick release.  Can use left had in jump shots and near the basket.  Can dribble some.  Good positioning on rebounds.  Seems to have good hands and some vertical.  But cannot tell how he really responds against a good defense and banging.  Near end of over 7 minute video team plays against Indiana Elite.

Would have to get some beef over a year or two.  Listed at 6'9" and 215.  There are other videos out there if one drills for them.     https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=ladarius+givan+basketball&mid=52489E73ED3F798E1F4552489E73ED3F798E1F45&churl=https%3a%2f%2fwww.youtube.com%2fchannel%2fUC-OvzSZfWsw7_yb-5sPsxMw&FORM=VIRE

So does anyone know if we are actually getting a visit from Ladarius Givan? And if so when? Would really like to get this kid on board. Would provide rebounding. energy, and rim protection off the bench.

No idea, but I think he might be a pretty tough pull. Watching his games he’s talented and I’d take him happily as a long term piece. But he’d probably be the 4th big in a bit of niche role next year, he’s not ready for 20 mins every night as the 1st big off the bench on a team that’s really good, and when an LSU has literally no roster and he can probably start there and be paid as a starter and a Seton Hall lost both their bigs it’s hard for me to picture this being perceived by him as his best option even if long-term it probably would be.

With the current state of things, there isn't any real reason to plan long term. I agree that it's unlikely we land him.
