Class of '66 Old Fart Posted Tuesday at 05:04 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:04 PM Name out of the blue to me. I usually add names to my database anytime there's even a mention and I have nothing at all on him. Here's a quick search of what I have since found. @LadariusGivan1 247 On3 MaxPreps Demo and kottke 2 Quote

Not that watching NBA playoff games isn’t super fun these days, but I’ll probably hunt a couple of the kid’s games tonight. Home Jersey 1 Quote

Demo Posted Wednesday at 02:01 AM Author Posted Wednesday at 02:01 AM Watching my 3rd game of Givens right now. Will probably scribble some thoughts tomorrow but 1 thing leapt out immediately, he’s not 6’9”. He played last year with Latrell Allmond, who measured 6’8” at the Adidas Eurocamp last summer, and Givens has at least 2 and maybe even 3 inches on him. So he’s 6’10, 6’11”, anyway. And he can really move and change direction. Home Jersey, Crimson and Cream, Class of '66 Old Fart and 4 others 7 Quote

Dave from Dayton Posted Wednesday at 11:08 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:08 AM Found this video. Shows a thin Givan making jump shots with quick release. Can use left had in jump shots and near the basket. Can dribble some. Good positioning on rebounds. Seems to have good hands and some vertical. But cannot tell how he really responds against a good defense and banging. Near end of over 7 minute video team plays against Indiana Elite. Would have to get some beef over a year or two. Listed at 6'9" and 215. There are other videos out there if one drills for them. https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=ladarius+givan+basketball&mid=52489E73ED3F798E1F4552489E73ED3F798E1F45&churl=https%3a%2f%2fwww.youtube.com%2fchannel%2fUC-OvzSZfWsw7_yb-5sPsxMw&FORM=VIRE Quote

And if so when? Would really like to get this kid on board. Would provide rebounding. energy, and rim protection off the bench. Dave from Dayton 1 Quote

Watching his games he’s talented and I’d take him happily as a long term piece. But he’d probably be the 4th big in a bit of niche role next year, he’s not ready for 20 mins every night as the 1st big off the bench on a team that’s really good, and when an LSU has literally no roster and he can probably start there and be paid as a starter and a Seton Hall lost both their bigs it’s hard for me to picture this being perceived by him as his best option even if long-term it probably would be. With the current state of things, there isn't any real reason to plan long term. I agree that it's unlikely we land him. Quote
