That team had length, front court depth, 3-point shooting, a bulldog for a point guard, and a do-it-all NBA bound player in Jeffries. That's the formula to replicate.

100%.  Seems like every time we have missed the tournament since the Knight era it's been for one of 3 reasons...no PG, no shooting, or no size.  Gotta have all 3.

It stings.  More so than losing Dusty to me.

Because the "timing" was actually right for once?

McCollum running excellent offensive sets in this game.    Give it to Stirtz with the clock running low and let him make a play

He’s a great tournament coach.  Ability to make effective in-game adjustments is amplified in importance with the short prep times in between games.  Impressive.

It hurts to see…

Yea…Illinois separating a little now. Bit iowas had great game plans every game. He’s the real deal. If they land a really good portal point guard, which I would assume they have a good chance to do, they will be off to the races again next year.

Dolson is a one hit wonder....but the one hit was huge!

He's been in charge for two key hires.  One was great, one is TBD but off to a slow start.  Still a long way to go before this can be concluded.

Not sure there are may Stirtz level players in the portal.   Kid is a stone cold killer.   Been a joy to watch the last 2 years of college.   Makes me wish I watched D2 back when he was playing there

True, but I kind of hate the way Underwood has chosen to play this game even if they end up getting it done. He’s decided he’s fine playing a 60 possession game. They’re getting into offense even later than Iowa. Sorry, no, if you’re better you need to create earlier offense and more possessions.

You're right, I keep saying I'm going to give DeVries another year at least, then I get Dusty and McCollum rubbed in my face and I lose it. DeVries may turn out fine, just need to be patient!

I think Underkavic just loves fights.

Oh, you want a rock fight, eh?! : r/TheSimpsons

The Dusty and Ben thing hurts -- I feel it too.  And I'm worried about CDD.  Fingers crossed we are good again someday...

Heck of a turnaround for McCollum at the end of the season.   Lost 7 of 10 and was 0-6 vs Ken Pom top 40 away from home.   Got into the tourney and proceeded to win 3 straight against the top 40 before running into Illinois.   Looking forward to see what he does in year 2.   Stirtz has been a joy to watch.  Heck of a college career

Great coach. Very smart and his game plans were excellent in the tournament. He will be a force in the B1G and tournament for years to come.
