Definitely didnt help but they had lost 5 of 6 before the game he got hurt.

Didn't watch a minute of St Louis all year but if last night was indicative of how they play, man we missed out on not hiring Schertz. And I do like Devries.

They were just faster to the ball in all aspects. Georgia looked shellshocked a mid-major could play like that.

He got to take a couple guys with him. And I know Avila is kind of a meme but having a big that is a good passer and can step out like that really opens some things up.  
 

But yea… I’d say there’s a decent chance he’ll make some P5 program a nice coach. If he got a chance at a place like Ohio State or something where they have some money, I like his odds of being able to bring in portal guys to fit his style.

That is exactly how Schertz teams play. It's an absolute joy to watch. I've seen many teams be similarly shellshocked watching his teams play the last 4 years.

Just signed a new extension last week, supposedly 6/22 with a nice NIL bump. SLU is a borderline great gig. Have argued for years that if any non-power conference school could evolve into another Gonzaga, it’s SLU. It has real money, facilities, administration support, natural recruiting base, multi-bid league, the whole deal. Just needed the right guy. So if he decides to move on he can be so picky on the next job. All the talk this time about K-State, Providence, Syracuse, nah it’s not gonna be one like those. It’s gonna be a lot better.

For all the Golden/KU talk and the Jacque Vaughn stuff, if I was Goff I would give Schertz a looonnnggg look at KU. Just think his temperament will play anywhere and I’m not sure that’s true with Golden.

According to @Golfman25 that type of length and athleticism doesn't exist at the mid-major level. It was a treat to watch VCU and SLU play back to back last night. Wait till you watch Santa Clara at noon today. Really good team built very similarly to SLU.

He's a weird prospect for me. I'm not sure his athleticism translates to the NBA, but he's highly skilled and not afraid to bang. He'll be highly coveted this offseason as will the two guards who play for Hofstra today.

He's one player. He's also 6'10, skilled as hell, and a nightmare for opposing bigs on the perimeter. They have a 6'2 shooting guard who leads the nation in 3 point percentage, but other than that, every other guy on their team is 6'4-6'8, rangy and athletic as hell with 2-3 of those guys built like defensive ends.
