AKHoosier Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Anecdotal evidence from south Florida people on Rivals is it's roughly 20-1 IU fans to Miami fans in Miami right now. We'll see how that translates to game attendance, but man I love first hand accounts of us taking over a city. Our massive fan base has been waiting so long for a freaking WINNER. Stuhoo Posted January 19 Posted January 19 The crowd projections are deceptive IMO—the vast majority of Miami fans are going to leave from their home and go directly to the game, whereas IU fans are out and about. The crowd will likely be loud for both teams; don’t think either team will need to go on silent count though. A guess? 50/50, which would be pretty amazing for a road game. Hovadipo Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 I’m calling 55/45 IU fans tonight, just short of my 1.2 million IU fan projection. The real tell will be if the Miami end of the stadium is completely green/orange or if we actually infiltrated their allotment. skhoosier2, Pagoda, 68Hoosier and 1 other 4 Quote

Not feeling great today as I felt before Oregon. Hoping IU can pull it off. Hard to go undefeated. Miami is also undefeated in Natty's on their home field. 68Hoosier 1 Quote

Home Jersey Posted January 19 Posted January 19 On the big ten pregame show Jake Butt said he'd be "shocked" if it were less than 60/40 IU in the crowd today for whatever that's worth (probably not much at all) Pagoda, 68Hoosier, 8bucks and 1 other 3 1 Quote

The "playing on Miami's home field" is overblown IMO. It's really only an advantage in logistics since they don't have to travel. Imagine playing a home game when you have to use the visitor's locker room, one end zone is painted in the other team's colors, and half the fans in the stadium aren't wearing your colors and cheering against you. That would get in your head as a "home" team. hoosierdogg 1 Quote
