Kinda insane that we don't have to know what CCC's policy is because we have not had any significant players enter the portal. Stellar player retention (so far).

Good to see you back!!

Rain doesn't overly concern me.  Cold temps yes.  Don't think Fernando's much of a cold weather fan.  Hopefully doesn't get drafted by the Packers or the Bills.

He'll be gone before either team picks. The Bills also have their QB.

It's warm and sunny (hot and sunny) in Phoenix... c'mon down, 'Nando! Welcome to Arizona.

Does being in the portal mean you’re unable to play or is that an Oregon rule?

There's a lot of confusion/speculation/opining. To be "in the portal", one has to have submitted the proper paperwork to the NCAA. One can announce that they are portaging, but until the paperwork is filled, it's just talking. In addition, I believe the schools/coaches have the final say in whether or not the player can play for his "old" school.

I know I have said this a few times before but I was taking a closer look and noticed some things.

But I am not worried about Oregon's offense, or at least I feel like if it were to perform well it would be alot more surprising to me than other people might find it.

  1. Against JMU they scored 51, Initially that seems impressive.  But JMU gave up more than that to 4 Teams this year.  Old Dominion, App State, Texas State and Coastal Carolina.
  2. They did it with ALOT of big plays, every single TD required a play of 30 Yards.  Since Oregon we dont allow alot of those.
  3. They had 2 INTs and a Fumble they managed to recover against JMU
  4. Against Texas Tech they had 4 FG attempts, but 2 of them were on short fields created by the defense.  Both were drives of less than 10 Yards, so only two "real" FG drives
  5. The two TDs were a 6 Yard Drive, and a 27 Yard Drive
  6. The 27 Yard drive was when the game was over and instead of putting the backups in Lanning ran out his RB with the broken Bone.  Or sent his guy out to break his bone depending on the narrative.
  7. Moore is a combined 4-3 in these two games
  8. Our Defense is on its best stretch of 4 games this year 6.75 Points per game.

Lanning would never. He's as much of a culture guy as CCC and bending rules when they become inconvenient is cultural poison.

Harris reportedly traveled with the team to Atlanta despite entering the portal, so maybe I'll have to eat my words. If you're going to bend such a significant rule immediately after making it though, you'd think it'd be for Limar. Maybe Harris' late announcement meant he was already in the game plan and Ducks don't have time to reinvent the wheel. Or maybe he won't play, who knows?
