To me, Simpson looked like a good quarterback without extraordinary talent. Comparable to Luke Altmeyer with lesser running ability.

I absolutely love our chances, even more so than if we were playing Oklahoma.

Womack/Alabama made impressive adjustments that physically showed.  IU offensive line has to show up.  Alabama like OSU likes to get physical in adrenaline rush.  IU a couple weeks to get ready…..Expecting IU to matchup physically, and teach this Alabama team pursuit, finesse, and execution.

Let's hope right tackle isnt an issue.

I’m wondering if there possibly a small % chance that Daley could see the field for the during these playoffs? If we are blessed to get past Alabama….….…..

 - It’s been 14 days since Daley’s injury on December 6th.
-The Rose Bowl will be 26 days (post) injury.

-The Peach Bowl will be 34 days (post) injury.

-The National Championship will we 44 days (post) injury.

Do we even know the diagnosis? Strain? Tear?

The university has only reported a "serious lower-body injury”. Several blogs and random posts on X have reported that Daley suffered a "torn patellar tendon". There have also been unconfirmed social media mentions of a torn ACL, but the patellar tendon is the more widely cited specific diagnosis in recent sports coverage.

Coach Cig confirmed on December 10, 2025, that Daley is "probably not" going to be available for the remainder of the season.

Seems like a fair comparison. Will say this about Altmeyer, while his O-line was getting whooped he stayed pretty focused. Simpson has moments when he looks absolutely spooked. I think he’s better than Mateer, but you’ve a chance to get that kid to fold in a way that I think Mateer wouldn’t.

Good lord Mateer was awful after the first quarter. His mechanics are so completely backwards.

McAfee has our backs, but the door is open for Paul BaldTrollDumb@$$, Matt Barrie, and Stephen A Dipsmith to say “Indiana has never been here before” when picking the village idiot that Alabama football has become.

Expanding on my own thought (are self quotes worth a badge here?)…I caught the “Bama-OU but we’re really U of O” postgame with Tebow and a few others…

They like us in the next game but “We have not seen Indiana down and have to recover the way we saw Bama do so tonight.” So now we play schleprock football for not starting games down 17-0?

The pundits need talking points—can’t begrudge them for that.

But the game is played on the field. If Bama can beat this IU team and our staff’s gameplan? Major kudos to them. But I highly doubt they can.

How much were we down last year at MSU?

Dropped punt that got blocked

Wide open TD pass dropped

Pick 6

Kicker missed 2 FG’s

OK gave the game away more than Bama won it.

That blocked punt and one of the worst throws on a pick 6 I’ve ever seen was the difference in the game.
