All of our top four guards are in their last year of eligibility. We desperately need system-familiar guards for the future.

Bigs? We’re a little better with Sisley,  Harris, and Dorn.

Is Dorn considered a big?

I was referring to the kid on campus today at 7’3”.  Luis Sangino?  Not his name but that guy as a reclass candidate maybe, although I hear he’s not a reclass candidate.

For the record he is currently on campus and his name is most often reported as Luigi Suigo.  And at this point he's not a re-class candidate but in this era ($) everything is subject to change ($.00)   lol

I’d love to pick this guy up, especially with Purdue interest!!!

I think you may be thinking of Father Guido Sarducci.  lol. :)

It's pro ball. NAIA? NBA players who came out of the Serbian league include Jokic, Stojakovic, Divac, Bogdanovic, among others. And skill wise? Euro players in general are ahead of DI college players. The rules and level of athleticism are different, but the skill? Plenty of skill in the Serbian league.

I choose to interpret this to mean that Ritisc is the next Jokic...

If it's strictly based on recent past history, no way we get him over Purdon't. With NIL we have a chance.

For anyone wanting to see Ristic in actual games, sort of, his club team, KK Dynamic, has a YouTube page that posts 13-15 min summary videos of their games. They’re a little odd because they’re cut to only show them on offense, but you can get a good look at the schemes he’s used to playing in and and a fair look at his skill level. Watched 1 tonight and will probably watch a few tomorrow. Ristic wears #1.

I know it sounds harsh but I agree, as Leal had his time here, he had his senior speech, and the team is entirely differently constructed now.

A senior speech by Anthony Leal is now a tradition, third only to the candy striped warm ups and Martha the Mop Lady singing "Indiana, Our Indiana."

This is really good stuff. Ritisic is 100% a point guard on this team of grown men (and his also young backup looks a ton like Gabe Cupps).

As @Demo said, this video is a full game of offensive makes by Ritisc's team.

  1. Looks like he's playing on a very well-coached team that truly shares the ball.
  2. Ritisic plays exclusively point guard - makes some nice lob passes in the game I watched. Head is up when the ball is in his hands.
  3. Hits a bunch of floaters.
  4. Outside shooting stroke really solid; with zero funkiness.
  5. Emotionless - a product of playing with older pros.
  6. The defensive pressure and rim protection by his opponent is pretty non-existent.

He's a wild card that could be a big find and send Enright and Duke to the back of the bench. Also having Enright as the chippy, experienced-D1 third guard option makes a Serbian wild card with a high ceiling pretty perfect.

#6 is what struck me the most when I watched.

I tend to agree. Think Rabby’s assessment that he’s purely developmental is probably off. He’s not Jakucionis, but he’s got a great frame, a pretty stroke, enough athleticism and he looks like he knows how to play. His handle needs to tighten up, but unless his defense is just unplayable he looks like he’s got a shot to be your 3rd guard.
