One similarity between Drake and Indiana back in the day, it seems like even if you know what they’re gonna do and that they’re going to do it, you may still not be able to stop them.

The guy runs really good offense. With better players he will be a tough out.

St. John's woke up after being down 7-0 early. I was kind of hoping we'd get another epic Rick Pitino halftime speech.

They went back to sleep to end the half. We may get an epic speech after all.

He’s getting drafted to the league.

Probably won't. But will play professionally.  Just like all the other D2 point guards coached by McCollum.

McCollum is to PGs like Cignetti is to QBs.

Did I mention that I was upset he didn't say yes before DeVries?

I hope he stays and makes Drake the Gonzaga of the midwest. Rejecting Iowa for Drake would make him a GOAT.

Well, I'm also a UE fan down here so, well, that would suck too. Lol.

Squandering double digit leads due to sloppy ball was a fairly common theme for them this year.

I don’t love their guards and even the big Yalie gets sloppy with the ball the games I have watched. I think if Dusty can build some rosters up there he’ll be trouble for the league. Last year his FAU team couldn’t defend but it was mostly due to that Johner (?) kid. This years UM can defend. Dusty seems to be good at coaching around his personnel.

It’s hard to stop a team from taking the air out of the ball.  Long possessions put a lot of pressure on defense.  Limiting the number of offensive possessions for the other team.  It’s a playing style that has been incredibly successful for them this year.  Absolutely hated playing against teams like that.  Hate that playing style, but good for them.  Glad he’s not our coach.

I’d rather have DeVries style of trying to score within 12 seconds. Most players want to get out and run.  Indiana was a transition team first, then ran that beautiful motion seamlessly out of it.
