Or RMK.

This is definitely a Tom Crean – style move

Well in fairness, in Bobby's 1st year as head coach, just how much stuff did the average student have in the way of worldly possessions?  Basically all I had in 1966 was a small radio, a Royal portable typewriter and my clothes.

And here I was thinking you went to college before the invention of radios and typewriters.

So RMK didn't help push your Model T up the hill? For those interested; an article on dorm chic back in OF's days:

First the football coach communications and involved with students/fans and now the basketball coach who comfortably and in his natural way (nothing flashy)….students/fans like this and has been missing and it just grows on most everyone creating a healthy culture.  It’s they are present in the same place…..

Not a culture of we are over here better than you who are over there.

Even if they only did this for a couple of students, it's still a pretty good pr stunt.

I wonder how many digits were exchanged by the players?  On another note, nice way to set a tone with the student body and get them ready for some ball!!!

More from Osterman.

In FY23, IU logged $1.5 million in football-specific licensing and sponsorship revenue in its annual report to the NCAA. Now, how money is classified on those things can be jinked around. But that's probably the best historical comparison point we have.
