Not sure I understand the Scott Drew displeasure. Is he Brad Stevens, absolutely not. Would I rather have Dusty May? Probably.

You can't argue the fact that he's won a NC, was the top 1-2 targets for both UofL and UK last cycle, and would provide us instant name recognition as HC.

Essentially what he said is that on 2/14 he heard Drew to IU is basically agreed upon and McCaseland will be going to Baylor. 

He followed up last Wednesday saying he is still hearing the same. 

"Hearing" from a coach in Texas. It is a paid site otherwise I'd post the screenshots, but you can go to the site to read them yourselves. 

FWIW, his previous prediction in that thread was incorrect regarding who he heard Miami was targeting..

I have wanted Drew at IU for a long time. He is my 2nd favorite option next to Stevens and he is closer to Stevens IMO than a 3rd candidate is to him.

I am not super familiar with Drew and definitely have a few questions but hard not to be thrilled at the idea of a coach who has actually won a title at this level.

Maybe. But if you look at it, the most definitive post was the 1st on Feb 14th where he said Drew is going to IU but he still kind of hedged that one with it being coaching chatter.

Every one after that uses hedging language like "a favorite", "most likely", "if". Another way to look at  "things can fall apart" is as hedging language. We hear things like that all the time in recruiting and can see how that goes. The point is, he's not saying as definitively as was initially stated.

Like I said, it would be a great hire but I'm just not really buying it at this time.

look up him and his dad, and the ties they have to the state of Indiana.

It really makes a ton of sense.  As far as Drew maybe wanting a fresh start with this year being underwhelming by his standards.  Also fits what Dolson seems to want in a coach.  A proven winner at the p5 level.  

I'm intrigued at minimum.  The stinky thing is i'd rather have his potential replacement than him for me personally.

For sure, aware of them having a big time legacy in the state. I guess my questions are more just about if he still has the fire in him / why make the move now? I’ll have to start watching more Baylor games. He’s definitely in the upper crust of candidates we could hope for IMO.

Sorry, I thought you were like me and didn't realize he had the legacy here in Indiana. 

I think him moving here, would present a new challenge. He would have so much more support NIL, fan base, resources...etc. just my 2 cents.

Being in the B12, there is a big chance they could get left out of whatever happens with the B10 and SEC in the future. That + some behind the scenes things like lack of NIL has supposedly been irritating Drew over the past season or two.

I would be very happy. I don't follow him or his team closely. But everything on paper I like. although his name has gained some traction lately, I would not be surprised if it is him. My reason? I have said for a while now it will be someone that has not been talked about a ton like Stevens, May, Beard, etc..... And I still stand by that theory.

IIRC he was the one who threatened to get I think it was Hanner (?) deported during his recruitment. That's hazy for me, I could be mistaken, but I think it was him - someone will correct me if it wasn't or was another recruit

Same, I've been thinking it's likely no one being talked about -- I'm still hoping for Otz but if it's Drew that would be a really good land
