Class of '66 Old Fart

IUBB vs Chattanooga - Saturday, 12.21.24 @ Noon on BTB

Recommended Posts

After we've kicked ND's butt from South Bend to Choteau, MT Friday night, Saturday morning hangovers and students on vacation will likely keep the crowd at SSAH in the low double digits.  The Choo Choos (8-4) have scored 85+ points in 5 of their 12 games. Not a strong 3-point shooting team at just 31% and allowing their opponents 34%.

Seems like an incredibly dangerous upset-alert game.

A team that shoots a ton of threes, has shot terribly so far this year, and shot tons of threes last year at a much higher clip with many of the same guys.

It will be telling. Sleepy noon tip off while students are gone the day after and completely overshadowed by the biggest game in IUFB program history. I expect a thin crowd. And I have no clue what the line is but I’m 100% taking Chattanooga to cover.

So, you’re saying we could possibly win? You are talking about us upsetting them right?

We don’t really lose games like this under him, trust me I’m not a fan of his either but just being realistic about this game lol

True. They're usually closer than they should be but IU tends to win them through strength of physical talent.

Recent history with this program is they start really slow on early Sat/Sun games after a night out on the town presumably.  Add in the IU v ND festivities and it could be interesting. :)

Having No enthusiasm sucks. Hope this team can inject some enthusiasm back into the fanbase. But I don’t have much hope either. Seeing a roster with these pieces getting killed over an over is dreadful.

But, as always, I’ll be watching and hoping something clicks.

With the excitement around the football team  I’ve paid zero attention to the basketball team since the Louisville game.  This team will need to do something impressive to get me interested. I’d expect a meh performance but still get the W.

Well I can't say I'm interested in this game. We'll probably win and will see good ol Woody smile in post game presser. Mike Woodson WILL definitively think Mike Woodson is doing a pretty good job.
