Looks like he will slot right into right tackle. Looks to be an above average run blocker and a average pass blocker.

High ceiling.  Was ranked as the 21st best OT out of high school and was the second highest rated recruit out of Indiana.  

Did not get in many games for Ohio State.  This season he saw 158 snaps.  Started one game this season (against Nebraska).  Came in midway through the game the first time OSU played Oregon.  Returned back to the bench after suffering an injury against Nebraska.  PFF gave him a solid run blocking grade this season but a poor pass blocking grade.

Any word on Tyshawn Wyatt yet?  Believe he visited.  James Madison offensive lineman, played both guard and tackle at JMU.

He did not play very well against Nebraska. Let’s hope Bostad can get the best out of him the way he did with Wedig who had a phenomenal year.

Kind of a curious background. Was at Fordham for 2 years and barely played. Transferred UP into the Sun Belt and started from day 1. Huh, don’t hear that one every day. Looks like he had the best game of his career against Cig/JMU in ‘23. 26-36 for 277 with 2 td’s no picks. So the staff and a bunch of the JMU kids have certainly seen him up close.

Got hurt midway through the season and his back up played very well and won the job going forward. Smart move by the staff to get a solid back up with tons of experience.

The old dominion qb has two years of eligibility left. If Mendoza has nfl tools we could be looking at the next two years of IU football

Benson was a LT here in ‘23 and a RT at CU, correct? I seem to recall him looking the part but struggling a fair amount. Am I remembering him wrong? Regardless, if Bostad’s good with working with him again, that’s good enough.

I just read CU bounced him around the line a bit. Right guard, right tackle, and left guard. He got injured and played only 9 games there.

It looks like he allowed 2 sacks, 1 QB hit, 3 hurries on 405 snaps. 66.7 PFF grade.
