All coffee is good coffee when Coach Cigs is at the helm lol

I’m a simple man, a Dunkin’ Donuts K cup in the Keurig is fine by me. @Stuhoo and @HoosierHoopster are the resident coffee snobs.

@Dave from Dayton is da coffee man!

@HoosierHoopster drinks gas station tea from his percolator.    :)

I’m one of the baristas at our local church. I’m here now serving, every 3rd Sunday. We grind and serve 3 flavors of Humble Joe’s Coffee, Decaf, Regular and Jamaican Me Crazy…

Trying to think ahead a little. Not being a season ticket holder, what would be the best way to secure tickets for game 1 of the playoffs?  I know we don’t know if it will be a home or away game yet but just trying to start planning. Also, are the first games Dec 18-21?

A heating-up Florida could relieve some pressure by beating Ole Miss next weekend. Definitely will be on a second screen during our game. Lagway is must see TV regardless.

UF should be about a 3 point favorite.

On paper, they are better. They spent crazy money on this team because they couldn't stand losing to Michigan. They are probably the best team in the country and losing in their house would be no disgrace. But, the games aren't played on paper and our guys have something to prove. We may not win, but I can guarantee this IU team won't roll over for anyone.

A good friend of mine is a huge Ohio State fan.  He just retired from some middle school and high school coaching and assistant coaching.

We always discuss IU and OSU major sports.  He is still a fan of RMK. He really liked our selection of Cignetti.  Says that Cig is a big winner.

He posted to me in our latest: "THE game. You can make your prediction, but keep in mind IU plays in front of 53,000…Ohio stadium will seat 105,000. A lot of your guys will be in awe of the sheer size of the fan base. I’m sure they will perform well but not Saturday. If it does, it does, but I don’t think so. "

That's what they plan on? Fans winning the game?!

If we protect Rourke and play well on both the OL and DL...

IU is going to take OSU down.

Of all the things I’d be concerned about for this game, our team being affected by the crowd is not one of them. Cig will have the boys locked in, focused on what they need to do. Business trip.

Agreed.  Really surprised that my friend pointed to the size of the stadium and the fans yelling as a deciding factor.  Usually he emphasizes speed, experience, depth, efficiencies, coaching, etc.

One could interpret his message as being dismissive or not taking IU seriously.

Kind of makes me think that my friend is not all that...ahem...smart.

Well, in my defense, I did realize that years ago.  After all...he is an OSU fan.

I know how to really piss him off.  I'll offer our usual bet...a beer.  But I will offer him some points.  He will snap it up.  But, he may never forgive me for the dig.  Cooper Bobridge | I would figure out a ...

The mindset of this year's team is completely different and I think they truly believe they can win.  In year's past, despite the press talk, I suspect our teams went into these kinds of games with a lot of doubt.

In 2020 I thought IU could hang with Ohio State (and they did towards the end of that game). This year I think they can actually win it.

Ohio State has nothing better to do than worry about Indiana football. How the mighty have fallen.

Here is the biggest reason why I think Indiana has a very good chance to win Saturday:

IU is playing with house money. They're not supposed to be here at 10-0. They are the 10 point underdogs. Ohio State has everything to lose. Anything less than a National Championship this season is a failure. Ryan Day had to bring in Chip Kelly and spend New York Yankees like $$ to have a great team because he could not get by Michigan and the other top teams in college football.

The opening series of the game will tell me how the rest of the game will go. Indiana has to get early momentum in this game. It could be getting Ohio State off the field or a nice 8 play drive that ends in a touchdown. I hope they take a deep shot early on them. Maybe even at some point in the game when the time is right, go for it on 4th down. Indiana has to have the mindset that they have to win by 10 points.

Just from watching enough of both teams I cannot believe it is a 10-12 point spread. Ohio State -6.5 would sound reasonable.
