Looking forward to reports from those able to attend.  Hopefully Mother Nature cooperates.  Currently indicating 34% chance of isolated t-storms starting at 8:00 and increasing % each hour thereafter.

You may already know this,  but it is televised on BTN so you can watch even if you do not attend.

Never seen a spring football game. What’s the structure? Is there an actual game format or is it a series of situational vignettes? 1v1’s, 2v2’s and so on or subbing in and out?  I need education here.

Everyone kind of does it differently, but it’ll most likely be a very structured scrimmage. Entirely scripted, limited reps, quick whistles, etc. Probably a few special teams plays sprinkled throughout. Some get into situational stuff specifically, some just play it straight up.

It looks like they’re going to make it competitive with a scoring system, two 15-minute periods, offense vs defense (some mix up teams with both sides of the ball). I’d be shocked if he doesn’t go 1v1 and on down the line with how he talks.

It'll be 1v1, that's how he rolls.

He's got a special scoring system so the defense can add points and make it a competition.

I read touchdowns and safeties are scored as normal, then 4 points for turnovers and 3 points for defensive stops.

This will be a glorified practice so the casual fan and some die hard fans of football watching will get bored will quick. Personally, I'm just stoked to see what kind of team we've got right now. I'm betting the offense will be two fold better than last year's and the team as a whole will be a lot more fundamentally sound.
