Apparently he’s actually been offered. Didn’t realize that.

A perfect 13th player on the roster. Newton is a perfect 12th with a very high upside. Leal and Cupps are solid at 11th and tenth.

Now, who are the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth? Perkins, Walker, Conwell, Humirchous, and a true big would make me a happy Hoosier.

Do we have reason to believe Connell would get a waiver? Or reason for concern? I know there’s a court injunction or something right now but under the old model he used his one-time transfer already.

Even if that thing is stayed, would think his coach leaving, assuming that happens, would warrant a waiver without issue.

Somehow forgot this was in play, thanks

At the current time, there is no problem with multiple transfers.  Goodly number of portal entrants are already on their second school, i.e., A. J. Storrs and Jalen Blackmon immediately come to mind.

Just to add, whoever is in charge of that whole mess has already announced that two-time transfers will be eligible for the 24-25 season without need for a waiver.

First year in the US from France. Unranked and off the radar. VERY athletic pogo stick big. VERY raw--maybe a redshirt candidate if we offer.

Visiting IU this week.

Here's a video of him slamming while basically unguarded:

Love his length

Agree. Philosophically, I'm a big fan of lottery tickets. There's no such thing as a college roster with 13 kids who are gonna play. I love the idea of having an unready but super projectable kid every year. And the portal makes it that much better. If after a year it's not coming everyone moves on. But if the light comes on for them you've stolen a kid and that's huge. I'll never ever complain about taking a Clifton Moore or Jeremiah April or a kid like this as long as everyone involved understands the deal.

You could add OG - he was off the radar, no one knew how good he was, Crean discovered him accidentally while scouting another player. I love finding off radar kids, guys who didn’t play AAU (iirc that included Sheehey), guys that had late growth spurts and are just taking off. Someone found Dennis Rodman playing pickup on a playground court. There are always good players out there who are underrated or just taking off. Hell, Vic is one of the biggest examples

O.G. was something. I pay a fair amount of attention to Missouri HS hoops and had literally never heard of him when he was offered.

And one would think that he would have left with one.

Seems as though he’s an instant commit if we decide we have room for him.

I still waiting to see who actually has offered him.  Saw a graphic with like twelve teams -- pretty much low and mid majors -- and it said "Diamanti Blazi -- interest and offers".  Seems kind of like some teams have looked into him and there aren't many biting.

His first D1 offer came from Monmouth in February according to his Twitter and he hasn’t claimed any others since.
