Honestly if it’s a money game i don’t see how we don’t beat Kentucky right now. Their roster is basically set. I assume they’re selling him on being the final piece for a title contender but we for sure should be able to pay more him just the way our roster is right now

They're gobs of pros that live in Hamilton/Boone Co even after their playing days.

You should see the mansion that Jim Irsay has in Carmel

Since folks want to point to Kelsey, Pope, and May as the reasons why our coach’s early struggles aren’t an issue, will you be ok if people call DD’s first season a failure if he doesn’t match their first seasons?

O/U 4.5 years until the NIL bubble bursts? There’s going to have to be a reset on how much these players are making. $10 million to build a basketball roster just isn’t sustainable

When you have billionaires funding it, that’s just 1% interest return for them for a year. It’s very sustainable.

Probably depends on how much the revenue sharing pool, and tv rights, increases.

BYU is allegedly spending 10mm on 2 players !

Duke allegedly paid Flagg 4.8. With all their other Burger Boys it would not surprise me if they were at 12,15+ million.

It wasn’t that long ago that a 5* was getting 150,000 under the table and now you can barely get a 3 ppg guy for that.

Lmao. Are we supposed to take that tweet as a positive development? It’s ok if some people do not have unbridled faith like you seemingly do.

If you take everything as gospel you read from a no name guy on the Internet then that is on you. It has been proven over time what you read on the Internet or message boards usually aren't accurate.

It looks like some of you should have gotten up and went to church like I did and get a better perspective on life

I think a top 30 KenPom team is a reasonable standard for year one with IU's resources. That's effective Louisville, just without the ACC-inflated record.

Did you repent for all those emails to Dolson Scotty?

Did you intentionally leave out Boone county on your little journey around the northern half of Marion county?

No.  I mentioned Boone Co later though.

And really.. Johnson Co, Center Grove, Franklin, Whiteland is exploding and a nice place to live.

Thanks Never Been Got Scott. Appreciate the hard hitting analysis as always.

Why is it unsustainable?

It just feels like, eventually, the cash cows are going to get tired of paying millions to kids that keep asking “more more more or I’ll go elsewhere.” There just has to be some sort of regulation and/or salary cap and/or formal contracts I think

The universities will have to recognize the players as employees at that point. It’s what they are actively trying to avoid.
