monskisprodigy Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Curious why Tucker DeVries hasn't been officially announced to Indiana yet, if that is the plan as we all assume it is. With the mass exodus, a little good news never hurts ha-ha. JustWinBaby, HoosierHoopster and Chris007 3 Quote

Not that it's an obstacle to his coming here, but might it make it a little more complicated to wrap up his deal quickly? Who negotiates and approves the NIL deals? With Tucker, it ought to involve someone other than his father. Quote

I was thinking about that earlier this week..with his talent, he'd probably make bag regardless of where he'd go; so it may not be a big deal?? Quote

Pagoda Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Keep in mind the rev share is basically a 66% to 100% increase for player payroll this season. So a lot of the numbers quoted are going to be about double what players got last year. Quote

Talent was spread out before on a number of factors, quality of the program, quality of the education, locale, facilities, and I'm sure we can all think of a few others. But at least under that system you had some level of parity. Without caps, the elite programs will just have too much of an advantage. Every year in the NCAA Tournament we see smaller schools actually compete and win against even elite programs....that is not going to be happening much longer, in fact we are already starting to see less upsets. I think the caps could still be set high enough where the more historically elite programs would still have an advantage, but smaller schools with less resources would still have a shot at landing a few top players. Just my opinion, but I just hate to see the game ruined and to me, no caps ruins the game, at least without major changes, turning into basically semi-pro basketball, which maybe is what it has already become. woodenshoemanHoosierfan and BannerVille 2 Quote
