Genuinely curious, how are you projecting that?

20th IMO is a very conservative estimate.  He’s rated as a 94.  Last year players rated at a 94 didn’t make the top 50.  It’s still very early in the phase and tons of players not in yet will announce.

Everything with a grain of salt, especially on April fools day. I’m not against them staying though. Miles can play some defense off the bench and comes cheap. We have no idea about Harris’s ability but also coming cheap. More to spend on impact portal guys.

Probably nothing but I’d be ok with it if was true. Miles has some value as a 4th or 5th guard and assuming he’s healthy Harris might help as a rotational 4/small ball 5. Kind of liked his traits looking into him last year.

I do wonder who will be back.  I would like to know if Harris is healthy.  I wonder which would be better...Jasai Miles for his final year getting 10 minutes a game...maybe vs a new player with similar skills but less play time and more eligibility and maybe costs a little more in NIL.

Too many variables and unknowns.  We don't know about building the roster with new starters from the portal.  Maybe some of our players don't announce their intentions to portal until two weeks from now when the starting picture starts to get into focus.

News and rumors today do have the April Fools' cloud over it.

Ivan Renko says: 7-foot-9 center Olivier Rioux, recognized as the world's tallest basketball player, has entered the NCAA transfer portal after two seasons at the University of Florida. A popular figure, Rioux redshirted his freshman year and saw limited action in his second, aiming to find increased bench time and continue his seat warming and fan experience elsewhere.  Rioux thinks that she is cute and expresses his interest in transferring to IU if the NIL numbers are there.

It’s an April fools post, cmon everyone have some sense lmao

I know that, but the time that shows on my Twitter time stamp is 11:07 PM (I'm in central time).  Anyway, I'm not taking it as anything true or false, just presenting it.

One of the reasons I would like to see at least a few kids return is to see what an offseason of development looks like in this program, under this staff. Do we see players get better, especially the younger players?  Can some or all of Dorn Miles Harris get better?

I know the current system lends itself to an annual discard/replace/upgrade mode but kids can improve, especially as they are more familiar with the system and development program. I follow Vandy as a second team if you will.  Tanner, not highly recruited, came off the bench and played 20 min a game, 6ppg as a frosh. One year later he is all SEC at almost 20ppg.  Not suggesting we have someone that can replicate that but we can learn more about this program with how some returnees look next year.

I’m trying to remember the last time we had this happen. Reneau, I guess…but he was all-conference for another team. Oddly enough Durham and Franklin were maybe the next two closest along with Galloway, but I don’t think Galloway made any all conference teams.
